Nudging those brave souls that refused to vote for John McCain based upon some sort of conservative moral ground... elections have consequences

< genuine conservative mode >better to elect obama, have the country go to shiite for the next four years, then, then, the sheeple will wake up and elect a genuine conservative. < /genuine conservative >

It seems President Obama wants an all out war on numerous fronts.

These are the categories specific to gays he seems to want to take on.

Support for the LGBT Community
“While we have come a long way since the Stonewall riots in 1969, we still have a lot of work to do. Too often, the issue of LGBT rights is exploited by those seeking to divide us. But at its core, this issue is about who we are as Americans. It’s about whether this nation is going to live up to its founding promise of equality by treating all its citizens with dignity and respect.”
— Barack Obama, June 1, 2007
• Expand Hate Crimes Statutes:
• Fight Workplace Discrimination:
• Support Full Civil Unions and Federal Rights forLGBT Couples:
• Oppose a Constitutional Ban on Same-Sex Marriage:
• Repeal Don’t Ask-Don’t Tell:
• Expand Adoption Rights:
• Promote AIDS Prevention:
• Empower Women to Prevent HIV/AIDS:

So it begins.

Many states prevent homosexual marriage, but that will all be out the window if the Defense of Marriage Act is repealed.

All states will be compelled to recognize homosexual marriages performed in other states as legally binding.

Then this is your train wreck. When your taxes go up, anyone can marry, i.e. two men and a woman or a man and a dog, your guns have been confiscated, God is removed from the all forms of the public square and it is a crime to mention his name in public, you can only smoke within your home, abortions are done in mass, more then fast burgers are sold, et al., let us see how you feel. I hope Obama’s policies hurt you much more than me. I voted to stop him. You voted to allow him.

It was 53%.

The Great Unifier barely got a majority, although you wouldn’t know it given the slobbering press adulation.

Get the government entirely out of marriage. No laws regarding marriage, no benefits, etc.

This does not make sense since the government (courts) need to have specific definitions in order to adjudicate cases and contracts. A simple definition of marriage nationwide will suffice.

Marriage is the underpinning of civilization and the government must have a vested interest in protecting the institution in order for society to survive and flourish.

so is it now ok for some of our commentators to stop praying for him and giving him time to adjust, and start hammering him like they are getting paid for?!

I already have my response ready for ANYONE who voted for Obummer who complains about how bad things are over the next four years: “You voted for this.”

I'm thinking that in no more than two years it will be difficult to find a caucasion who will admit to voting for The Cypher (other than those employed by the government or government schools).

BS.

by the way, there was never any need for you to worry about any of us “stealing votes” from your precious John McCain. Many more people voted for Ralph Nader than for Chuck Baldwin and Bob Barr combined. Which is really quite sad.

McCain was not my mine. I wanted Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter or even Mitt. McCain was my second to last choice above Ron Paul. McCain was the party nominee, so I voted for his ticket, not him, to stop Obama. Sounds like to voted to allow Obama.

You forgot these gems:

Reproductive Choice

* Supports a Woman's Right to Choose:
President Obama understands that abortion is a divisive issue, and respects those who disagree with him. However, he has been a consistent champion of reproductive choice and will make preserving women's rights under Roe v. Wade a priority in his Adminstration. He opposes any constitutional amendment to overturn the Supreme Court's decision in that case.
* Preventing Unintended Pregnancy:
President Obama was an original co-sponsor of legislation to expand access to contraception, health information, and preventive services to help reduce unintended pregnancies. Introduced in January 2007, the Prevention First Act will increase funding for family planning and comprehensive sex education that teaches both abstinence and safe sex methods. The Act will also end insurance discrimination against contraception, improve awareness about emergency contraception, and provide compassionate assistance to rape victims.

I used to love browsing around the White House website--now it just feels...sullied. :*(

Crime and Law Enforcement

Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

I voted for him for the chance that we’d have a Palin presidency. If it hadn’t been for her, I probably would have just voted on the downticket races so we could get someone better in 2012. There’s no way Obama will be a two-term president. You can put that in stone.
