I disagree.

He never adequately defended his policies.

He allowed all sorts of stupid myths to persist until they became 'common wisdom' and urban legends.

He socialized the banking system to a degree never before seen in this country.

He did not make an effort to connect with the people.

I do not underestimate the effect of the democrat controlled press or the ineptitude of McCain, yet Bush bears most of the responsibility for allowing the dems to go unchecked.

I would rethink that; His calling us racists and trying to cram Amnesty down our throats along with a wimpish defense when the Rats attacked He was an unmitigated disaster. The parting Gifts of his flooding the country with his “Great Religion” and Obama was a nice touch! He personality kept a lot of voters home like in 2006
