You are forgetting the 20th Amendment

Thank you, yes. I did forget about the 20th.

Looks like Obama got as far as, “That I will execute”, and Obama’s memory just went blank! Roberts then trying to help him along may have caused Hussein to screw up more!

"No, it was not intentional. Lighten up."

I just got back from the gun shop .. got some more ammo .. stopped at my local and got some cigs and alcohol ... and on the way home I pondered this.

There's a movie I highly recommebd, a musical titled "1776", and in it, Adams and Jefferson got into it regarding the wording of INalienable right and UNalienable right, with Jefferson concluding, "I wrote it, and it will stay as I wrote it"

Now ... I'm no grammarian, but .. is there a reason that Roberts might have been pondering the position of the word "faithfully" ?

If Roberts had been thinking of the grammatical structure, and perhaps even argued within himself that the word should be at the end of the sentence, THAT might account for his flubbing of the oath.

Anyway ... my gun is cleaned and I'll pull a few off out my back door, smoking a cigarette and will come back in, put on the sci-fi channel and drink myself to sleep.

Obviously it had to be Roberts’ fault - Obama is faultless.

Watched him sign some paperwork at a table, he tried to stand up and leave before he was done, then tried to give the pen back twice as the third document came in to be signed. Then he set the pen down and started to close the document as he handed it back, then handed back the pen. Folded his hands, then got up to leave. Complete flubber. Everyone else in the room, including Biden, were fine.

But at one point early on, Obama paused, as if grasping for the next words. Roberts helped him over the brief awkward moment, repeating a few words to get Obama back on track.

That's how it sounded to me, too, when I first listened to the oath on TV. Then someone here on FR pointed out the placement of the word "faithfully". That's why I looked further for the video and the oath. (Maybe Fox changed the headline in the link later, too, after more checking?) But, we can look at it either way. It would be fun to suppose Roberts tripped him up on purpose, a payback for that vote against his confirmation (lol).

I pounced on the errors as soon as they were uttered!

And after you pounced....then what?

I started researching the Oath of Office.

I would have guessed that you injured the fur trapper.

And then
In a fit of anger
I pounced

And I pounced again

Great googly moogly!

I jumped up and down on the chest of him

I injured
The fur trapper

What...you going to allow a minor thing like The Constitution to get in the way of Hope and Change? You must be an un-American, racist, right-wing, nut job still clinging to your guns and religion.

Get your obamaumbrella out:

From our Constitution (Article II, Section 1)
Before he enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or Affirmation:—”I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

Even old LBJ took the oath on the plane following Kennedy's death. Why take the oath so quickly if it is irrelevant?

and then of course....he retakes the 'oath' because there was no 'problem' with the one he took the previous day:
