The 1992 ‘The Last of the Mohicans’ was great. Michael Mann took a stodgy relic of a novel and turned it into a piece of expressionist art.

Tells me all I need to know. That movie was a dreadful bit of post-modern garbage which morphed an American classic into a a shallow propaganda piece.

Uum I don’t mean to sound condescending but Expressionism is an apolitical aesthetic strategy. Mann’s films are apolitical in general.
