Call the local wildlife rehab people. They usually know what to do for injured critters. Your local game warden or PD could probably give you some names if there are none in the phone book.

it is really hard to rehab a bird. If it is sitting it probably doesn't have a broken back but maybe wing.
Keep it in a quiet safe place and hope for the best until comes out of shock. You can check in phone book for wildlife rehab person who may take it....these gentle volunteers do wonderful compassionate things

There are agencies in each state that rescue such animals. I had baby hummingbirds abandoned. I found a rescuer and she told me what to do. I got to hand feed the little fella and he later flew away.

Perhaps there is a wild bird rescuer near you. I hope so.

That’s post racial for ya! -- What was most offensive was how Obama reacted. He must have forgotten he is supposed to be president of the whole country, not just the minorities. I can guarantee that that last prayer just turned off a huge segment of America if they were watching.
