Today is the last full day that George W Bush spent in the White House as President he telephoned current and former world leaders from Oval Office.
Also in his last full day as President he commuted the sentences of two former US border guards facing more than 10 years in prison for shooting a Mexican drug smuggler.
Secretary of Defense Roberts Gates will will sit out Barack Obama's inauguration at an undisclosed location as the "designated successor" in the event of a catastrophe, the White House announced Monday.
Pray for President Bush - Day 3050.

The Bush family.... this sounds corny, but I feel like they would blend with mine just fine. President George W. Bush will always have a warm place in my heart.
I know tomorrow will be yukky. There is no way to get around that, we just have to live through it.
Keep your chin up and know that God is merciful and there's another election in 4 years!

Several of us Freepers ate dinner at Luigi's anticipating the Freeper Inaugural Ball the next night. After dinner some of us decided to go to the White House. Even though Pennsylvania Ave was closed, for some reason the police let us go up to the fence. We were discussing what Clinton could be doing there on his last night. Little did we realize that he was finalizing his last pardons. We felt great that Bush would be in there the next day.
Tonight is a sad day. All I can say is thank you President Bush for the good things you accomplished.
Just cannot stay on the thread....Like Snugs, I care for my father. He turned 89 last Sunday....Is currently having more bad days than good....I will accept God’s will for his life....But remember “Jesus Wept”...certainly have followed that scripture.
