Hm. Here’s a tin foil hat scenario for you:

‘O’ is arkancided and Biden takes the helm then Bubba goes for a 3rd term. If the 22nd is repealed then it’s fair game. yech...but there it is.

I never gave up on GWB. He dove me nuts sometimes. But he’s like family. He’s a good man. He did the best he could.

Do you use Firefox? If so, you can add a countdown clock:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/468

I have it at the bottom of my browser window so at a glance I can check how much longer we have to endure.....

Me too. Hoosiermama postd this last night and I saved it because it helps me. “I said before and I’ll say it again...We place our lives in the hands of our Higher Power and then expect said power to do as we want, when we want, and where we want. Though the experiences of my life, I’ve learned not to give the list of desires in my prayers....But to list instead praise and accept the times and happenings that that Power made decisions that I had not expected at unexpected times. (They are called blessings).
I chose to call that higher power God most of the times....

That just has to be the scariest thing...but, then again, it would still have to be ratified by 2/3’s of the states. There’s enough people (I hope) who know what opening that can of worms would entail. And if not, taking out ads to remind people (dems in particular) that someday, the people might vote in someone they don’t like who would then stay in office for a really long time - that might change their minds.

About the 2/3rds vote...

never say never - it’s a “different world” these days.

Horrid? Absolutely.

I always tried to put my self in his shoes...trying to see what should be done and what could be done.

In everything he tackled, I believe he did his best for this nation whether I agreed with him or not. He made the choices and he took the blame, and his Christianity was evident in every decision he made.

He is a helluva man that this nation will not see the likes of again for a long time.

Hear that! I might have a Senator named Al Franken! I used to live in Indiana where people were bascially sane.

Be sure and set it for noon on the 20th in EST and appropriate for your time zone. For example, I have it set for 9:00 AM, January 20, 2013 as I am in WA state.
