I originally took the mindset that I would wish Obama the best during his presidency for the good of the country, but I kept having nagging thoughts that were bothering me. Rush Limbaugh said something the other day that made me realize the problem I was having:
I Hope Obama Fails
RUSH: I got a request here from a major American print publication. "Dear Rush: For the Obama [Immaculate] Inauguration we are asking a handful of very prominent politicians, statesmen, scholars, businessmen, commentators, and economists to write 400 words on their hope for the Obama presidency. We would love to include you. If you could send us 400 words on your hope for the Obama presidency, we need it by Monday night, that would be ideal." Now, we're caught in this trap again. The premise is, what is your "hope." My hope, and please understand me when I say this. I disagree fervently with the people on our side of the aisle who have caved and who say, "Well, I hope he succeeds. We've got to give him a chance." Why? They didn't give Bush a chance in 2000. Before he was inaugurated the search-and-destroy mission had begun. I'm not talking about search-and-destroy, but I've been listening to Barack Obama for a year-and-a-half. I know what his politics are. I know what his plans are, as he has stated them. I don't want them to succeed...
Look, what he's talking about is the absorption of as much of the private sector by the US government as possible, from the banking business, to the mortgage industry, the automobile business, to health care... So I'm thinking of replying to the guy, "Okay, I'll send you a response, but I don't need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails...."

I want America to succeed. That won’t happen if obama is able to enact his fondest desires. Defeat the arrogant, stuffed-shirt, hyper-inflated ego and his obsequious following at every possible turn.
Fail. I want him to fail. The only way America will succeed is if Hussein fails.
Resign and fade into obscurity isn’t a choice?
Fail: Everything he is doing and everything on his agenda will weaken the USA.
There is no hope involved. He will fail.
He wants to rewrite the Constitution...I hope he fails!
I want him to fail, fail, fail. I abhor everything he stands for and everything he has ever done. Therefore, I want him to fail. Because for him to succeed is for him to accomplish and implement everything that I stand against.
In that way, it will be America and her Constitution who will SUCCEED!
Depends what at, doesn’t it?
FAIL!
agreed,,he cannot deliver. It will become painfully and personally evident to everyone.
I wish we had a black candidate who was a natural in front of an audience, like Reagan,,if so I would want him to be successful.
The only way Obama won’t fail is if he turns to the middle, takes pages from the conservative handbook, keeps the looney left happy and doesn’t make us gnash teeth with his “programs”,,,that is a very tall order.
Let's hope that conservatism survives in America and that Nietzsche was right: "That which does not kill you makes you stronger."
I want him to succeed and change into more of a Conservative. Maybe the Ghost of Lincoln can have a chat with him and turn him into a semi-Republican (or a McCain type of Republican). We can hope. BUT—if he wants to turn this great land into a communist state i wish him ill fortune. I will give him a chance but I fear the worst.
IMO hoping Obama fails is irrelevant. My hopes are on learning everything about whom, what is behind the man Obama whom I believe is simply a figurehead/marionette.
Who is pulling his strings? Not the people of this Nation. It is they I want to see fail as Obama will be crushed by the weight of their failure regardless.
It’s more than the MSM. It’s more than George Soros. It’s more than the Democrat Party. This election was well choreographed.
By who?
I hope he fails. Miserably.
Wishing success or failure on someone depends on what standards of success or failure you’re applying.
According to the conservative standards that I apply to all Presidents — I hope he succeeds. I hope he stands up to foreign and domestic threats, defends the nation against terrorist attacks, champions free-market capitalism, lowers taxes, champions freedom (economic and otherwise), abides by the rule of law, and keeps government out of the business of its people. I’m not optimistic ... but I hope.
According to the standards by which he and his progressive ilk judge his presidency ... I hope he fails miserably. I hope any liberal/progressive initiatives he passes blow up in his face.
SnakeDoc
Fail.
He is pro infanticide.
He is a liar (see infanticide).
He is pro big government.
He has failed to even prove his eligible to be POTUS.
What?
It's my fantasy and I can make up whatever I want.
I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen while this guy is president, not sure what but it feels like I’ve seen this before. I know alot of other people that feel the same way. Nothing good can come from this guy’s policies unless you believe in marxism or are a lobotomized fool , so yeah I hope he fails.
As another post points out, everything Obama is talking up has been tried, much of it right here in the good ol’ USA, and if not here then in other countries around the world. It has never, repeat NEVER, worked. History's dust bin, and her cemetery, are chock full of the results. It's not pretty.
I would love to see Obama succeed. But I certainly have no desire to see the things he believes in get any better foothold in America. Abortion, higher taxes, more social programs to discourage personal responsibility, reduced gun rights, making friends of our enemies, increased government control of all aspects of our lives, the list goes on and on.
Been there, done that, it stinks!
