Freshman year of college, we all had to attend these speeches and things as freshmen. One speech was about how “if just one person would have told Hitler he was a good painter, he wouldn’t have been the person he became.”
I wonder how Hitler is viewed in his “hometown”; if there is some undercurrent of awe of the man?
Mr.FF says his grandmother always used the Hungarian pronunciation of the town, not even in German. According to the family she spoke 7 languages, including Yiddish even though she was not Jewish. It was the location of where she was born that people understood many languages.
