I’m very disturbed that we’ve managed to elect our first dyed in the wool, true-blue Marxist Socialist.
Folks can celebrate the fact that we’ve elected our first Black President, but I would have preferred someone such as Thomas Sowell.
In fact, had we elected someone such as TS, I would be raising the roof with sheer delight!
Instead, I’m in a tad bit of a panic.
I share your hope that Obama is a one term President.
That's a fair question and, honestly, I'm unsure as to how to answer. I am a believer in conservative ideals. I am well aware that Obama is the antithesis of everything that conservatism stands for and yet I am torn because we are stuck with at least four years of him as president. I can't bring myself to desire four years of the country falling deeper and deeper into a economic chasm.
Many, even a few Freepers, have said that the economy is cyclical and will naturally correct itself, but I can't help but be somewhat uncertain as to that outcome. I suppose if I were to try to explain my feelings, I would have to say that I hope that it is possible for him to effect a sea change in the economic picture, but fail in other areas such as the closing of Gitmo, enacting the Fairness Doctrine, expanding abortion rights, pulling out of Iraq, weakening our military, and exposing us to potential terrorist acts. Maybe I'm fantasizing that if he is completely preoccupied with getting the economy on track, he won't have time to drastically muck up other areas.
Thats the point he is making dope ,just because the idiot won the election doesnt make him right if morons who dont know what this country stands for elect a Marxist .
This is still America for a very short time I fear but I dont have to support an idiot who is the most unqualified individual ever elected to the office , after all I agree with Hillary Dissent is Patriotic
I hope the economy recovers and no Americans die at home or abroad.
But that doesn’t mean I want to HIM to succeed. I want him to go to Hell. Hell, Norway, population 352, and stay there, far away from the US.

I agree. It has got to the point that I cannot stomach the sound of Obama’s voice. I’ve become Pavlovian in that sense. The next two days will be interminable, and I fear for the USA over the next 4 years. The left truly could have sown the seeds for the second armed insurrection.

That portion of Alabama called the black belt has nothing to do with blacks living there. It has to do with the type of dirt and earth in that area. Not that blacks live there.
Well, don’t bother to be afraid that my life is going to be one of continual disappointment. It isn’t and won’t be. I have shut it all down with TV, radio and the like. It’s all a bunch of negative talk, anger, bitterness and the like. I am living my life with my own hopes and prayers. I don’t need to be watching TV with all those people and their own agenda...much less garbage they “report.”
I’m happy and will continue that way and as a result...I will pray for President Obama to succeed and be a good President to the whole country. That’s who I am.
I would pray for the same thing ... that any bad decisions he makes for America will fail but...I am not wishing him out and out failure.

Now...back on subject... I don’t want socialism either. I want a President who will do what is right for this country. I am hoping and praying President Elect Obama since he was elected WILL be able to do that for all of us.
