Would it be a good idea to invest in one of the companies mentioned in the article?
You’re right - the article didn’t mention Rosenberg.
He wrote about this scenario years ago in the “The Last Jihad”, and as you’ll notice from many of the other comments thus far - the rest of the series is equally as prescient.
While Joel dismisses any private foreknowledge, he plainly states (and this is my paraphrase), that he writes of what might happen based on what the Bible says will happen.
I have read all of his books, but Dead Heat, the last one, is downright scary!
“Fear not.”
Seeing that these things are close at hand, what manner of persons ought we to be?
Ping
Thanks for the ping. Ordering his books now.
Joel Rosenberg’s novels are awesome.
Time and again his fiction has turned to fact before our eyes from a (pre 9/11 hijacked airliner) terrorist attack on America and the US invasion of Iraq to Arafat’s death and the installation of terrorists as a political presence in Gaza. His research is impeccable; his thriller scenarios accurate and insightful.
He looks behind the scenes in the White House, the State Department and the various intelligence agencies in ways that few writers accomplish (outside of Tom Clancy in his heyday) and to top it off he’s an excellent story-teller.
His Christianity is ever present and a blessing, but it’s not intrusive or “preachy” in ways that many other end-times series written from a Christian perspective tend to be. He creates totally believable characters, not cartoonish over-the-top stereotypes. Start with “The Last Jihad” and you’ll be hooked.
Thanks. You’ve raved about him to me before.
More for the TBR pile! :o)
Thanks for the ping!
Ezekiel Option is great. If you want a fiction book as a synopsis of the Gog/Magog war, it is excellent.
Epicenter is not fiction. In it he lays out why he has written what he has written. And how he comes to his reasoning.
While Ezekiel Option makes a great "story" to read, that feels as if its almost ripped from todays headlines. Epicenter gives you the facts and background.
Read Ezekiel Option for entertainment. Read Epicenter for learning.
