Incoming White House senior adviser David Axelrod said this morning that President-elect Barack Obama will fulfill his campaign promise and begin on Wednesday the process of withdrawing America forces from Iraq within 16 months.
On Wednesday, Obama will call in his military commanders and ask them to come back with a plan for withdrawal.

I sure am glad the world loves us now, otherwise, we'd just be royally boned.
Oh, and to the rest of the world: If you need help with anything, just call the UN.
he will then take credit for what other good men have bled and fouight to achieve, and what Bush went through hell in the press to achieve...and he will call it his own.
But we know better and can educate others...and, in truth, they know it too.

THE AUDACITY OF TRUTH ABOUT BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA'S UPBRINGING
I have heard that a major component of Obama’s withdrawl plan is that if the U.S. is asked to stay by the Iraquis that we will only do so under a payment plan involving substantial monthly payments. I have to say that I do like that idea.
Watch the price of oil hit $200 before the year is out. This is that little factor that many here are not thinking much about, when they say that oil will stay down below $50 for the rest of the year.
Add to that, the fact that those trillions of dollars will be completely squandered on “renewable energy” and “Green” technology and there won't be a thing to show for it after the money is wasted and gone.
This is where we will then be the weakest and most vulnerable we have ever been in our history. And they will surely strike us hard.

Isn't it possible that the quote got screwed up?
Trust nothing that comes out of the mouth of a wishy washy liberal.
They’re getting a lot of mileage out of these announcements that BHO will begin fulfilling these promises on his first day in office; closing Guantanamo, pulling out of Iraq, and so forth. It’s going to be a typical approach from him, signing an executive order or directive stating “begin making plans to do...” and his PR types will be stating he fulfilled his campaign promise. Once again it’s more marketing than substance. People will become more and more disenchanted over time when nothing happens.
Liberals have for years been telling us Iraq was like Vietnam. They have persevered in their traitorous calumny until they have prevailed in their goals and their prophecy is fulfilled.
Maybe someday this country will wake up and crawl out from the cesspool which is Liberalism. But if the results of the past 78 years haven't done it, I suppose this current disaster won't either.
SOFA- already signed
Does Bamster propose to unilaterally abrogate the existing treaty?
And sabotage what, in Iraq, is a UN MISSION?

It is important for Obama to keep his promise to the people who voted and supported his candidacy.
Good point. BTW, we are pouring a lot of concrete in Iraq out in the desert. We will go to garrison, come out for raids, train their police/military, secure the Green Zone, lots of ELINT, we’ll have a S Korea there for many years.
I detest BO but this article is BS or wishful thinking at best.
So did Gregory just sit there with his tongue hanging out. Everyone agrees that it is a most UNCOMMON mistake, you liar. He was told of his obligations repeatedly. HE WAS GIVEN THE MONEY BY THE IMF TO PAY THESE TAXES. He pocketed the money.
And he didn't pay up for 2001 and 2002 until just before his nomination announcement. He's a crook and a tax cheat! But in today's DC, that is okey dokey.
That sack of sh*t was on Meet the Press this morning.
We might as well send an email to Al Qaeda and invite them back in.
