What can I say here?

Except its obvious when you trust your life to a trained person you are in trusted hands.

Hire a vet comes to mind instantly.

I knew this pilot had to be a military vet and I was right, but damn a F-4 Driver on top of it all!

No wonder he was able to pull it off, the F-4 is basically a brick with wings and big engines to boot, so landing an Airbus was a major piece of cake for this guy.

This guy will be latched onto by politicians trying to ride his coat-tails by nightfall. I expect he will be at the Inaugeration.

Another thing, I was wondering how much influence his Military training had on his obviously exceptionally sharp thinking and actions during this emergency?

Just thinking, I wonder how many pilots would have the skill and audacity to make such an incredible effort to skim that thing right in along a nearby river?

Whatever, this is an astonishing story, and the incredible man deserves a medal.

“He has participated in several USAF and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) accident investigations.”

He’s gonna participate in another one, and I hope they give him a medal!
