Got a call earlier this p.m. I’m now the proud holder of a ticket to the ex-President Bush reception to be held in Midland, TX on Tuesday afternoon. It’s a 90-mile drive, but I want to attend. I was there when he left Midland for Washington that cold day in January 2001. I disagree with some of his decisions, more than a few actually, but he kept us safe after that terrible day in September and I again want be present for his return.
I think Mark just has to get rid of all the dopes!!!

Cash for Clunkers is only the first in a long line of legislation that we will see for at least the next 2 years. Congress has a new 350 billion bucks to blow and they are all brainstorming how to get their pet progects funded. There is plenty of money to go around. If there isn’t, they will just appropriate more. What the hell, Obama says that there will be trillion dollar deficits as far as the eye can see and not a peep of opposition either from the Republicans or the people who they are supposed to represent.
We are so screwed.
