Pepsi is running a new advertising campaign that keys into the upcoming inauguration – one that features a re-designed corporate logo that mimics the distinctive Obama “O” campaign logo, and refers to the president-elect as “the man who is about to refresh our nation.”
PepsiCo’s Web site -- RefreshEverything.com -- features an application allowing anyone to send a video message to the president-elect. The feature’s explanation reads, “Help us refresh America.”

Letter to Pepsi:

I find it distressing that you have chosen to politicize your line of products. I assume you do not realize that you will be alienating 50% of Americans with your pro-Obama promotion. When I want to drink something or go out to eat, I do not want someone rubbing my nose in their politics.

I hope you understand that I will no longer be buying your Pepsi products, nor visiting Pizza Hut or Taco Bell in the future.

Too bad nobody but Pepsico makes anything like "Mt. Dew" ...

They also make Gatorade, Tropicana OJ, and FritoLay chips.

All are crossed off my grocery list henceforth.

Let Pepsi know how you feel about this.

I told them: “thanks for snubbing 56 million Amercans who did not vote for “O”. I will never buy your products again.

I saw one of these idiotic happy-bouncy-Obama-Pepsi ads the other day.

I can survive just fine without purchasing any pepsi products, ever again. Will happily switch to Coke. Hell, even Sam’s (Walmart) cola is fine.

Bye-bye Pepsi. You won’t be missed.

So; like Pepsi, if you get too much of it it will make you fat, give you diabetes and rot your teeth?

I’ve been a long-time Pepsi drinker and always preferred it to Coke. But lately I began to notice the new color scheme and symbol and thought “hmmm, kind of looks like the new official presidential change seal from those nuts in the BO camp.” But I figured it was a stupid coincidence. Guess not...

This frankly, pisses me off. Do you know how many products there are out there from pepsi?!?! Taco Bell, PizzaHut, KFC, and of course all the soft drinks from Dew to Slice, and Aquafresh, and juices, etc...

I hope Coke is following this closely and sees a jump in overall sales - AND doesn’t misinterprett the reasons for the increase.

Damn....

I buy the Mexican (Spanish for "real sugar") Coke from Costco.

It tastes just like Coke did when I was a kid.

I have always loved Dr.Pepper anyway. (A Coke prod.)

You should try the genuine original formula (with real sugar) Dr. Pepper. They only allow the original bottler in Texas to make and sell it. Can be had from Old Doc's Soda Shop. Every year I get a case for Christmas. There is nothing quite like it.

It is no coincidence that Pepsi has modified their logo to look very similar to Obama’s.

I've noticed that the new logo seems to make the cans easier to draw a good bead on if you use them for target practice.

Or down the sewer. Or remove rust from nails with it. Or just let it sit out and let the carbon dioxide outgas and warm the planet.

And boycott fast food restaurants that serve Pepsi products.

I know Arby’s sells Pepsi products.

Besides the Pepsi-Cola brands, the company owns the brands Quaker Oats, Gatorade, Frito-Lay, SoBe, Naked, and Tropicana, Mountain Dew, Mirinda and 7up

True.. Is Moxie still around??

Yep, it sure is. Hard to find though, outside of the Great State of Maine.

I have a bootlegger that drops a delivery off once or twice a year at my house. :-) Nothing better than a Moxie, and a Country Kitchen donut. MMMMMmmmmmm

Good grief.

I never liked Pepsi anyway. They just landed themselves a potential boycott from Republican customers—that’s a lot of people. Not the smartest move in this economy....
