Pepsi is running a new advertising campaign that keys into the upcoming inauguration – one that features a re-designed corporate logo that mimics the distinctive Obama “O” campaign logo, and refers to the president-elect as “the man who is about to refresh our nation.”
PepsiCo’s Web site -- RefreshEverything.com -- features an application allowing anyone to send a video message to the president-elect. The feature’s explanation reads, “Help us refresh America.”

Pepsi has taken a drastic turn left over the years.

Pepsi has been commie lovin' for a long time. See the deal they cut with the USSR back in the 80's.

Yum! was created on October 7, 1997, as Tricon Global Restaurants, Inc. an independent company, as a result of a spin-off from PepsiCo, which owned and franchised the KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell brands worldwide. Because of the company’s previous relationship with Pepsi, Yum! Brands has a lifetime contract with PepsiCo, with notable exceptions being with Dr Pepper Snapple Group for A&W Restaurants to be the exclusive restaurant provider of A&W Root Beer as well as franchisees such as HMSHost and college-operated locations that have separate contracts with Coca-Cola that override PepsiCo’s lifetime contract with Yum! Brands.

Can't argue with that (though I have occasionally enjoyed some KFC). The price is what keeps me away - it's so much cheaper to cook my own and it's better-tasting.

Thanks for the additional information. Sounds like they YUM! brands have a perpetual beverage contract with Pepsi. I guess that if you crave KFC, just get water with your meal or carry out and supply your own drink.

I checked the Coca-Cola web site. No mention of Obama.
The only problem are the 2 long o’s in Coca-Cola (3 in Coca Cola Zero). There’s no escape.

Dude, that cpusa post just made chills go down my spine. And not in a tingly Chris Matthews sort of way, either.
