None of the people who want everyone to drive hybrids/hydrogen/electric/alternative cars have answered a simple question:

If every vehicle on the road today were to get replaced with "environmentally-friendly" vehicles -- what, exactly, will be done with the 250 million "old" vehicles currently on the road? They have to be put somewhere or disposed of; the cars contain fuels and other fluids that they don't want released into the environment; each one takes up a lot of physical space; re-selling to the third world simply shifts the problem elsewhere; etc.

I am trying to figure out how, in this economy, we are going to reasonably pay for this program. More deficit spending for a program that does not need to be implemented at this time. It looks like congress is going to push liberal experiments with funny money (deficit spending) to try to “improve” our lives.
