I just saw Mr. Montalban a few minutes ago on Turner Classic Movies. They ran a documentary on the Golden Age of Hollywood revolving around the rise and fall of MGM Studios and its guiding light, Louis B. Mayer.

Riccardo was one of the commentators. What a classy man. He was also one of the last living links to the Golden Age still alive.

One of MGM's greatest hits was "Ben Hur" starring Charleton Heston, also a conservative.

I picture each of these memorable stars being lifted skyward in golden chariots. Hollywood can never duplicate those golden years of "more stars than there are in heaven."

Riccardo was a good man who provided us with fine entertainment during his career. I'll miss him.

Rest in peace, amigo mio.
