Reality is setting in: governing is much harder than campaigning, and President-elect Obama is not the infallible figure the media has made him out to be. In Washington there are dozens of ways to get knocked off course, especially when the captain of the ship lacks prior executive experience but has no shortage of bravado.

How the president-elect navigates through the next couple of weeks will help determine the course for his first year. For now, it seems that it won’t be all smooth sailing.

Even more than a rocky confirmation hearing, President-elect Obama’s fortunes may flounder on the shores of a stimulus package, so vast and so packed with mines that virtually everyone has reason to dislike some aspect of it....

The election of Obama will go down in history as the most blatant case of affirmative action in American history.

Overnight, an inexperienced corporal was promoted to 5-Star General. Sure it was historic, but why is it considered progress? Would the average voter feel safer if someone with minimal flight experience was piloting their plane, or someone with minimal medical experience was operating on them??

And now someone with more drug experience than leadership experience is in charge of the most powerful country in the world - no wonder the stock markets are tanking and people are scared for the future.

Let’s just hope the World makes it safely thru the next 4 years, so this idiot can be turfed before he causes any lasting damage.
