Uber conservative political commentator and author, Ann Coulter, is drumming up controversy among the masses with her new book Guilty: Liberal Victims and Their Assault on America.
The gist of her book? Liberals "playing victim" when she believes them to be the actual "victimizers."
With anything Coulter has her hand in, this latest installment is sure to get tempers flaring, especially among single mothers.
Monday night Coulter appeared on Fox News Channel's Hannity & Colmes.
Tuesday morning Coulter made a controversial appearance on NBC's Today Show (after her originally scheduled appearance was cancelled.)
In both appearances, Coulter's lastest stabs at single motherhood were discussed.
Alan Colmes quoted Coulter's book, "Single motherhood is like a farm team for future criminals and social outcasts."
And finally, "We have a term for youngsters involved, the 'children of divorce,' or as I call them, 'future strippers.'"
Coulter reverted her argument about single motherhood back to what she believes to be our country's recent "hatred" of the institution of marriage and made mention of Hollywood's promotion of single motherhood.

In Nashville all the homely fat white girls who would have been without suitors 20 years ago now have serial illegitimate half black babies one after another just like lower class black women have done now since the 1960s.
Latinos here seem to do the same thing as well.
Orientals and Kurds here.....especially the Kurds.....no way. You get one of their hairy armed girls knocked up and you better get right real quick or that Kurd mafia thing they have going here with smoke ya. Nashville has world’s largest gathering of Kurds outside mid Asia.
This all bad ....just damned awful for the kids. We deal with this in kids elementary school with the hood kids they bus in. Horrible homelife. Like a nightmare.
Until this part of our culture is scorned and discouraged this will only get worse.
course the usual refrain will always be that some two parent families arer bad too
the age of equivocation
Her ‘hyperbolic insults’ on the Jersey Girls basically resulted in shutting them up and the media ignoring them.
And she ain't that great looking either. Adam's apple, that's all I'm saying...
OK, flame away.
Maybe. But does she change anyone's mind? I doubt it. As someone said upthread, she's just preaching to the choir.
I seem to recall there was quite a bit of discussion about the findings in the Bell Curve, back when it was first published. That book is still brought up on a fairly regular basis, both positively and negatively. Do you think anyone will be discussing Coulter's book a year from now?
Since when does controversey over single motherhood have to be “drummed up”?
Where I come from, it’s still looked down upon.
The truth hurts. Simply pointing out known statistical probabilities will get you attacked.
We have become the ADHD society. We cannot sit down and reason things out. Instant gratification is the only game in town the vast majority of the populace.
Nor do I. Hyperbole has its place, but not as a means of regularly getting your message accross.
Appalachia had the most independent people in the world. If government handouts can hook them they can hook anybody.
There is the hard and fast economic principle at work here. When you subsidize something you get more of it. The government subsidizes single moms.
That's not really what she's going for. Ann Coulter's aim is to put a very sharp edge on well-documented criticism of the Left. She intends to paint the uncomfortable and usually otherwise undocumented truths of the Left and their tactics in vivid, high-contrast color. She does that well.
Her criticism of single motherhood, for example, is not a slam of individual single mothers! It's a blast at the Left's glorification of single motherhood, and a wake-up call to some of the devestating consequences of single motherhood on our society and therefore our nation.
I adore Ann Coulter and what she does, because nobody else will do it. She calls the left, left and the right, right. She does her homework, and she makes no apologies. I'm fine with that.
It has always been a good idea to stress strong moral values regarding the Sixth Commandment, in Catholic teaching. You would do well to emphasize the pitfalls of extramarital sexual indulgence to these kids.
I am a seasoned CCD teacher, and have found that the teens are always very interested in this topic, and appreciate any teaching and advice that will help them to go against the popular culture. They need you support in their efforts to be good and pure.
Nonsense. The same young women you want to carry children to term (instead of being aborted) are being vicously attacked!
Logical dissonance.
I've met her a couple of times at parties here in DC. She gets along perfectly fine with DC liberals, outside of the talking head setting. She's a creature of the DC chattering classes. She fills the niche of "fire-breathing conservative commentator" very well and has made a good career out of it.
And she ain't that great looking either. Adam's apple, that's all I'm saying...
She is very skinny in real life- from my (limited) exposure to her, she seems to live off of a diet of red wine and cigarettes.

The pussy Matt Lauer tries to play pit bull with a pit bull, and gets his semi-hairless head handed to him.
I don’t care what anyone says. We need MORE people in this country like Ann Coulter. If President Bush had more of this in him, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are today.
Given a choice between turning everyday people off with an abrasive message, and allowing them to go gently over to the ideas of the party of stupidity and liberalism without a fight, I choose the former. Conservatives do not control the message machine, and to their credit (and detriment) they neither want to have control of it nor do they try and wrest it from the hands of liberals.
Ann Coulter takes these scumbags on. Were that more of us were not so concerned about being liked, avoiding incurring the wrath of liberals or hurting someone’s feelings for speaking the truth.
In this interview, there is NOT ONE THING Ann Coulter said that is false. It is only inflammatory because horse’s asses like Matt Lauer want to make the points she brings up seem inflammatory and out of the norm. She is spot on.
How does Laura feel about all this--being a single mother herself?
Unlike her critics, of course....
I disagree. It is the behavior that is being attacked because it wrong. Murder is not what Ann is suggesting as the alternative, it is a stable marriage and personal responsibility that is being offered as the solution.
