in todays day and age there are no secrets. everyone wants to be the one who breaks it to the media. leaks are everywhere. the ONLY thing i have heard is that tomorrow has some significance to the muzzie religion and that is it.

Wrong. The Brooklyn kid story was real (I know NYPD who investigated). The kid's father left the US on the 10th and didn't come back.
I own real estate in the area. The Egyptian owner of an apartment directly below one of my rentals left around the 8th and never came back. The co-op is still in his name, still fully furnished and still vacant.
The Saudi neighbor of one of my sisters in upscale Bergen County left the Saturday before and has not returned.
I believe (as do the LEOs I know in the NYC area) that there is some discussion, however vague, about plans in the area mosques. That is why I will not trust or befriend a single muslim.
As to this cabbie thing...I don't buy it. Cabbies have picture IDs in the cars. Anybody receiving a kindly warning would get the name and report the driver.
