I think you're right, maybe not in 5 years but soon. This is a fact that the old guard refuse to accept, and will fight tooth and nail. When Gutenberg created the printing press, he made old handwritten manuscripts obsolete overnight, but it took decades before that finally became accepted. At one point, the papal court considered limiting printing to those with a church license as a means of limiting it and retaining their control. But in the end, they couldnt stop it and the mainstream media cannot stop their own inevitable decline. They will wail and probably get some government subsidy and maybe we'll see some effort to regulate the internet so they get some sort of license for news and others are forbidden in an ironic assault on free speech in the name of old media firms, sort of like record companies trying to stop digital music. They may drag it out but in the end it simply will not be stopped.

I've been hearing that claim for at least five years. Unfortunately, we just witnessed the fact that the MSM still has enough power to swing a presidential election.
