I always thought that you stopped breastfeeding when they youngun’s teeth came in. At 6, it has to be pretty painful on Mom’s teats.
By age six a child can be comforted in other ways than lifting mom’s shirt for nummies. If anyone should be doing that, it’s the husband. And in private.
And for those that think cow’s milk is abnormal, you’re nuts. we’ve been drinking cow’s milk for thousands of years and making cheeses and butters from it. That or goat’s milk, or yak’s milk or whatever we’ve decided to milk. And it ain’t killed us and it’s given us protein and nutrients just fine.
Ick.
Pftoey.
nuh huh
Yes they are, young man. Yes they are.
This woman is borderline sick. Makes one wonder about her secret thoughts that I believe are not “wholesome”...
Ick, just ick
Getting permanent teeth, getting ridiculous.
Getting wisdom teeth, getting sicko.
Getting false teeth, getting into necrophilia.
WHISKER BURNS!
Breastfeeding is normal and healthy and does amazing things for the child’s brain.
I think in a truly free country we should allow the bell curve for how long a child breastfeeds. Some mothers do 2 months. Some do several years. It does not harm the child, though the outside world reacts with negativity. Older toddlers can learn to only nurse at home after a nap, keeping it discreet.
People who say that the child could pour his own cup of cow’s milk are missing the point. Cow’s milk is made to nourish a young COW. It focuses on bone growth, not intense neural and brain development, like human milk does. Also, one’s mother’s milk has specific antibodies to what’s going around the family at that time. There are more healthful things in one’s own mother’s milk than in a cup of pasteurized cow’s milk.
Sounds like Mama doesn’t want to give up having a baby.
