Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says both her 18-year-old daughter Bristol, who gave birth to son Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston on Saturday, and fiance Levi Johnston are working hard to balance schoolwork with their new parental obligations, People Magazine reported.
"You need to know that both Levi and Bristol are working their butts off to parent and going to school and working at the same time," the Alaska governor told the magazine in a phone message. "They are certainly not high school dropouts."
Any suggestion to the contrary "harms Bristol's reputation and Levi's reputation and their chances for good work opportunities," Pail said.

Why don’t you just stop posting to him, then?
It’s a shame the media is so focused on these people and not on what is happening to our County. I wish they’d focus on Obama and the rest of our representatives.
It would be great if all would not have sex until marriage. It doesn’t happen that way for some. If I had to choose between how we accept out of wedlock pregnancy and birth today and 60 years ago, I’d choose today.
“Keeping her legs together” or even him keeping it in his pants are just nice cliches.
As a social conservative, I’m happy they had the baby and have family to help them.
I feel the same way at times. Part of me hopes she doesn’t subject herself and her family to the MSM crap by being public figures. The other side prays she does because she’s the kind of person we need as a leader for our Country.
I’m sorta happy they’re not married yet. Marriage is a commitment and a Sacrament in my Church. It’s not something to just “do” because they have a baby or society thinks it’s a way to “fix” a mistake. I hope they do get married but I pray they do so for the right reasons.
Thanks very much!
well, pooh, then. ;^)
Sarah already was rejected by half the country, she needs to clean up her reputation, not damage it. While many here could care less......she has to win votes from those who already rejected her to win. To not admit what is going on is to have one’s head in the sand. I pray she get’s it together amidst the storm and carries on. I just realize she needs some help.
I am praying she stays in and finds a way to turn around the MSM, or go around them. It’s not happening yet. Right at this moment she needs to focus on healing her family. She needs to learn to stick with friendly media and put out press releases to correct this stuff. Every time her high heel hits the ground outside of Alaska she will be subjecting herself to more. I hope she can do it as well.
I am praying that Obama exposes himself for all the world to see what a fool they have been. They wouldn’t have time for Sarah, if they printed half the stuff out there about Obama.
I don’t, of course. But my point is that as a Christian, she should know about abstention. I wish her and the baby the very best. I have a grandniece who is due today or tomorrow so I know how these kids think sometimes. It’s just very sad that there are so many Christian kids acting like the world.
Well, I’ve always been rather, um, transparent about such things. Truth is truth.
Everyone oohs and ahhhs over Brad Pitt and his beauty and all those babies but why don’t they get married and give those babies a ‘name?’ I will never understand it.
I agree with both your posts.
Not objecting to illegitimacy, but merely to welfare payments, seems to me a libertarian position, not a social conservative one. Often these two camps can stand together, but not always.
