Former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says both her 18-year-old daughter Bristol, who gave birth to son Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston on Saturday, and fiance Levi Johnston are working hard to balance schoolwork with their new parental obligations, People Magazine reported.
"You need to know that both Levi and Bristol are working their butts off to parent and going to school and working at the same time," the Alaska governor told the magazine in a phone message. "They are certainly not high school dropouts."
Any suggestion to the contrary "harms Bristol's reputation and Levi's reputation and their chances for good work opportunities," Pail said.

And wiser.
Waiting for the pinhead brigade to bash her for using the word “butt”.
Cute kid, it’s going to test them in ways they can’t imagine. I wish them luck.
LOL! Youth is stupid. (I should know - I was young once.)
“The trouble with youth is that it’s wasted on the young.”
for later
It must be supremely difficult For Governor Pailin to watch the media establishment attacking her child and grandchild in a relentless political vendetta against her conservative beliefs, and against the American middle and lower classes - which liberal elites detest.
“They” have got the Presidency, the Senate, the Congress.
And yet “they” continue to fire cheap shots at teenagers who choose to bear babies instead of aborting them, teenagers who choose GED/work instead of classroom, and anything else “they” would never dream of as part of their own privileged lives.
Bump for what you said... right on.
The American middle and lower classes NEED to be detested; the sickening maggots voted for BO, remember.
That I do not get.
‘Palin Says New Parents Levi and Bristol ‘Working Their Butts Off’
The Obama supporters would claim ‘working their butts off’ is punishment for having a child.
The child is a gift from God.......
If the truth be told, a very large percentage of the snobbish attitude comes from people who deny that any messy people problems have ever happened in their own families. They are liars and cowards, not to mention weak and selfish.
Real life can be difficult but the strong will find a way to keep going without compromising another's life if at all possible. If you can't at least do that, you will lose a piece of your humanity.
Outside of the fact that she got pregnant, what makes you think that they were not using contraceptives? Birth control pills fail, condoms fail, all methods of birth control, even a vasectomy, have been known to fail. That said, the thing with teenagers and raging hormones is they may not have ever intended to have sex but got carried away in the heat of the moment. Happens all the time. It happened in the 1950s when I was in high school and I am sure it happens today.
It is absolutely true, in circumstances like these, that "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
No one needs to be detested. We are all children of God, no matter our social standing or for whom we vote.
I wish the new parents well
Not if she said it on CNN
And they’re not married either.
It's not appropriate language for someone in her position.
She’s been elected pope?
