Excellent analysis.
His theory sees the U.S. breaking up on a regional and racial basis. He basically sees the same type of dissolution seen during the failure of communist countries on an ethnic basis.
The major flaw in his theory is that the U.S. isn't a dictatorship with forced migration of one ethnicity into areas dominated by another. With the exception of Native Americans (a really small minority) you also don't have the long term history of conflict that you see in most of those communist nations.
His views are getting press because the old party communists in Russia want to believe that, since it happened to the USSR, it can happen to the USA.
His predicted split looks reasonable, except I don't think Sarah will cede to Russia!
I know you’re hearing this a lot, but...great post.
Beyond that, I don't think Obama really cares about this country. I believe him when he said he is "a citizen of the world." With that attitude, he will certainly not defend our interests, but instead will negotiate (read: appease) with others using our wealth and resources as leverage. Once that is depleted and we are sufficiently weakened, it's likely we will see Russia and China flex their muscles. But before we see that, I think we'll see this new US administration "negotiate" a "peace" agreement in the middle east. In doing so, the world will praise Obama and his popularity will allow him to ride into a second term. After that, things will start to really fall apart.
Totally agree. I think the break up would occur building Republics of like minded people. Moral/Political = Morapol. Raiding parties would go to each coast to take what they want and return to their Morapol.
The breakup would not be decided by proximity IMHO.
Couldn’t agree with you more wendy1946. I think this article spells it out quite clearly:
