Heck, no sweat, I’m safe. At least until the earthquakes flatten everything and the ash cloud encircles the earth, killing off food growth and dooming us all to starvation in the dark. Note to self: buy some ramen noodles and flashlight batteries.

Most prevailing winds do not travel west/southwest from Northwest Wyoming. They generally head due east, and southeast. If you had to be in the U.S. during a major event from that region, the west coast would probably be the safest place in regards to ash fall.
