HONOLULU – The media glare, the constant security appendage and the sheer production that has become a morning jog or a hankering for an ice cream cone – it’s been closing in on Barack Obama for some time.
Now the president-elect appears increasingly conscious of the confines of his new position, bristling at the routine demands of press coverage and beginning to chafe at boundaries that are only going to get smaller.
Obama even took the unusual step Friday morning of leaving behind the pool of reporters assigned to follow him, taking his daughters to a nearby water park without them. It was a breach of longstanding protocol between presidents (or presidents-elect) and the media, that a gaggle of reporters representing television, print and wire services is with his motorcade at all times.

Of course, we’ll have Crazy Joe Biden as President, but he can be persuaded to do the right thing—he’s a nutcase liberal, but not a fledgling Marxist like you are.
So do the right thing: just quit now.
I agree: the press are swine. And Hussein used them to get elected. May they now make life miserable for him.
But they won’t. After a few weeks or months, their bosses will have a “Come To Mohammed” meeting with Hussein’s bosses.
And the press will become even more like lapdogs than they are now. It’ll be almost like North Korea.

I don’t feel sorry for him in the slightest. He ought to try being President Bush for one day. President Bush is not in my high esteem as he once was, but the man has taken hit after hit by the lefties and their accomplices in the media, and I never heard him whine in 8 years. This metrosexual isn’t even President yet, has a butt licking media, and is already bellyaching. How’s he going to hold up under greater pressure? BO is a snob, a wimp, and a whiner. I don’t care how much he shows his (hairless) chest, he’s not a real man in my book.

True, but this guy has tried harder and in more outlandish, attention-getting ways than any other. Tens of thousands for his Berlin speech, the colliseum speech at the convention, Grant Park on election night, pressers nesrly every day for weeks, barechested photos on Christmas vacation (and August vacation too)...
How true that is. He loves the spotlight, or did. I hope they drive him bonkers.
Yep. I added it to my tagline cause it is so telling. Add that to his flippin the bird to Hillary & McCain, and brushing the dirt off his shoulders like that rapper.
He also used untold millions of FOREIGN donors to propel him to his position. It was done on purpose, of that I am sure. He has run the crookedest campaign (dollar-wise) so far. He has conducted foreign policy at odds with the current President, lied, then his campaign has backtracked and admitted it. He has cavorted with enemies of this nation before, during and after the election...
I could sympathize if it was for his kids... those are the ones I feel badly for. Tey are too young for this. If nothing else, I hope he can keep them shielded. They have no idea what is in store for them, and are too young to make the decision. He and Michelle? I hope there are telephoto lenses on them 24/7
