So we now have our first BACKWARDS-HAT President

Posted on 12/28/2008 6:26:43 AM PST by HD1200

We have all been annoyed by the backward-hat crowd, whether pulling up alongside us with blaring music, sauntering around in crappy clothes at the malls, and just plain looking stupid. Just saw on MSNBC our President-Elect saunter out of a store in a white t-shirt and blue jogging pants with his hat on backwards and a scowl on his face. When he saw a crowd, he reached up and turned his hat around the right way and broke into a big toothy smile as he went up to shake hands with the totally young crowd all pleased with their Messiah.

Bunghole Eagle seems to have fixated on some assertions made in post #95.

I've looked at it twice and see nothing which wasn't brought up elsewhere.

I have politely asked for clarification and gotten none.

I'd love to see some of these suckers tell me to my face what a dirtbag I am because of my hat.

Bunghole Eagle even says it requires courage to respond to posts.

What a stud he must be!

It’s intersting, Cvengr places one drop of chlorine in a pool of dirty water, and everyone flees.

Please point out which specific points you would like to see addressed.

The only legitimate reason to wear a baseball cap backwards in style might be to emulate a black gangsta because one covets their lifestyle, popularity, and association with being street-tough. Of course those who wore them in an eccentric fashion, tended to wear them to the right or to the left, to either communicate directions to others or to indicate gang affiliation.

On the other hand, from the Urban Dictionary: "Wearing your baseball hat backwards means your ready to perform oral sex immediately (don't have to waste time to turn the bill out of the way). "

You don’t know gunner.

He doesn’t give a crap about what anyone in the world does. He does what he does because he wants to. He is the most honest and non go along with fads person that there is.

You on the other hand don’t have the balls to wear your hat any way other than the accepted. Guess which I respect more.

Does this explain your lack of a hat?

Quicker?

Cvengr posts a couple of logical reasons why BHO shouldn’t wear the cap backwards.

It goes unresponded to, so I challenge a couple of posters to answer his assertions.

Suddenly thousands of words are posted in response, only a dozen of which even vaguely answer Cvengr’s assertions. Far more are spent using vulgar words in a vain attempt to incense me. (That doesn’t work with me guys, it just makes you look uneducated.)

Now, you post a TESTIMONIAL of one of the challenged posters!!!! A TESTIMONIAL???

You have any idea how silly that all looks?

All over ONE drop of chlorine.

Simply because you are unable to understand English isn’t a reflection on us.

I cannot speak stupid so we cannot communicate as you cannot understand that some people do what they do for reasons other than why you do.

Sometimes simplicity escapes the simple. It is easier for you to be a follower.

I see no one posting a TESTIMONIAL for you. Ever.

As I said upthread, that baiting stuff doesn’t work with me, save your breath.

The meaning of the word dignity should be reviewed with the Obama team!

Sadly, I think we're all going to be treated to a lot more distorted forms of "revisionist dignity" before the Obama administration ends.

Try as I might, I can't see anything in holy-post #95 that needs a response.

Do you wish a comment on "emulate a black gangsta because one covets their lifestyle, popularity, and association with being street-tough"
or perhaps a comment on "those who wore them in an eccentric fashion, tended to wear them to the right or to the left, to either communicate directions to others or to indicate gang affiliation"???

I can't see either assertion as being particularly relevant.

What specifically would you like to see addressed?

I'll respond. He posted his opinion on what someone who wears his hat backwards looks like. He's entitled to that opinion, but it doesn't mean everyone thinks the same about it. He then goes on to say there are only a few "legitimate" (for pete's sake, now we have hat police!) reasons to wear it that way. Again his opinion and not shared by all. Try as I might, I can't understand all the fuss over a cap. The only thing I thought about it was it made his ears look bigger.

You cannot acknowledge that some people do things unrelated to peer pressure. You might want to address this issue.

I still don’t see any TESTIMONIAL’s for you.

That's true. My own posts on this thread are testiment to that fact.

You said, in post 14 What exactly is wrong with wearing a hat backwards?

Cvengr responded as he did.

I just wanted your reaction.

For some strange reason that request hit a hot botton with a couple of others.

Testament to what, exactly?

That you feel that the orientation of a hat is a true reflection of character?

I pity you your ignorance and narrow-mindedness.

Eaker is able to see beyond such things.

He knows that this backward-hat wearing guy would take a bullet for him or his family.

Or several. I'm resilient.

I hope your buttoned-down friends will do the same for you.

But I doubt it.

For some strange reason you focus on Cvengrs post.

I fail to see anything in it that requires a response.

Are you two perhaps romantically linked?

The same thing that's wrong in doing anything backwards, --- it's backwards

The orientation of a cap is determined by its use.

Riding a motorcycle for instance requires the more aerodynamically sound configuration of a "backwards" hat. Unclench yourself for crying out loud.

Maybe, but it still looks dorky as hell.
