(IsraelNN.com) A team of Jewish workers accompanied by the IDF spruced-up two nights ago the tomb of the Biblical Joseph in Shechem. The restoration was performed by the Shechem Echad organization, which is responsible for restoring historic Jewish graves throughout Samaria.

At present, the IDF usually allows access to Josephs Tomb once a month, but limits the number to 1,000 people. Due to the security situation, the IDF only gives limited advanced notice when Josephs Tomb is officially open to Jews. Due to a large waiting list, the Shomron Community Council also does not publicize extensively the dates when access to the tomb is authorized. In addition, many of the coveted spots are reserved for public officials and other VIPs from abroad.

Chanukah restoration ping.
The Church of the Sepulchre in Bethlehem is also -as I understand it based on reports- in need of repair.
Only Adolf Hitler would approve of a policy like this!
The Church of the Holy Sephulcre is actually undergoing some needed renovation to the exterior as we speak. I don’t beleive the cause is vandalism, but simply of time and neglect. Going up there today as a matter of fact.
The United Nations was silent on the savage destruction of the Tomb of Joseph by the Palestinian Arabs. The Tomb of Joseph, the 3rd holiest place for Jews. The Israelis naively believed the Palestinian Arabs when they said they’d protect the place. Within hours of their promise, they destroyed it. Lying is considered an honorable practice in Islam. No one should be naive enough to negotiate any agreement with professional liars for whom going back on one’s word is standard procedure.
That has more to do with the age and the various Christian denominations that constantly bicker over the site. Each one has control over different parts and they won’t work together at all.
The Israelies in situations like this should be just as ruthless as the religion of peace and state that under no uncertain terms you scratch out a letter on a tome we scratch out a village and that is without any prenotice that they have been known to do. Then kick out the UN and all other back stabbing entities that interfere with their operations as a nation. It’s time for Israel to become a hardliner again because everyone who is against them is taking that stance.
The current leadership of Israel clearly approves of the policy. They are firmly of the belief that showing weakness is the way to get understanding and compassion from the Arabs. In other words, they are kapos.
We need to use different negotiating "tools".
Let them "CHANGE" their minds afterwards!
But it still makes sense...
