A most insightful post. Tell me, what is the result of finding out that one is not validated by the ‘other’ of adoration? ... Is it contempt, or merely unfocused anger which may be manipulated?

I’m afraid it could be easily manipulated. Like a rejected lover, it’s easier and less painful to blame an ex-love’s new interest, or friends/family’s influence, than to blame the person who rejected you. I’ve already seen signs in readings on the web, not the bloggers or articles as much as the people leaving comments.. that the ‘pressures’ from the still powerful right are forcing the president-elect to bend, to rethink and redesign his stand.. not his doing at all. Absolution for him, and fueling the anger at ‘the others’.
