(CNN) Pat Robertson is "remarkably pleased" with President-elect Barack Obama, the conservative leader told CNNs Suzanne Malveaux and believes President Bushs administration has not dealt with the nations economic crisis in a professional manner.
Well, it's hard to assess blame, but I, over the years I hate to be critical, I mean I am a Republican, and this is the president of the party that I'm a member of but I think we've had some serious goofs along the way, he said on the Situation Room Tuesday.
The Katrina matter was terrible. The rebuilding of Iraq has been terrible. The [handling] of the economy right now has been terrible. It hasn't been handled in what I would consider a professional manner.
Robertson said history may be kinder to Bush than current opinion. But I believe I would look at about a C-minus right now if I were grading him, he said.
The evangelical leader has been a supporter of Bush's presidential campaigns.

Also its a dead shark
I remember that too
> I remember that too
(grin!) It’s funny how none of them can remember ever saying that, ay.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, FRiend....:)
And, many wondered why I wrote Robertson off years ago.
We have not forgotten your liberian Gold scheme Patty boy..
“bush gets a F, for me, but not for the reasons MSM want to use.
- Lack of leadership. Never responses to critics e.g the weapon of mass destruction
- scotus pick almost ended in disaster. Illustrate he takes his base for granted
- no child left behind, expansion of government
- didnt pursue freddie and fannie strong enough
- $700bil bailout
- abbandon capitalism to save capitalism, wtf? Shows he was not a capitalist but a believer of government. Capitalist believes that in time of trouble, capitalist principles will save the day
- car industry bailout”
And may I add “didn’t bother to close our Southern border during an all-out invasion?”
I won’t mention the news photo of him holding (literally) hands with a Saudi prince. (I was delighted the day the head of the Iraqi government called the Saudis “Bedouins on camels”)
I agree....As for the economy... Isn’t it amazing how everyone forgot that Bush took over a Recession.... along with a TRILLION + dollar hit on 911?
The economy didn’t limp along after the tax cuts. In fact, the economy was robust until 2007. Now let’s see, what took place in 2007? Oh yes, the Democrats took control of the House and Senate. Oh darn, it isn’t Bush’s fault.
As for Pat, with all kidding aside, I keep wondering if he does have dementia. (sheeze)
W has presided over a dumbed down population filled with many who have zero respect for the traditions of our society. We can look to the public schools and multiculturalism for that. This nation has slowly become the Whats in it for me gang, including the Ken Lays, Bernie Ebbers, McCauliffs, Clintons, Hasterts, Rubins, the list is endless. W has been a rare man of class and I could be wrong but I doubt he will now traverse the world pandering for easy bucks like Clinton or run around faulting the US for everything like Carter. He had many imperfect decisions but fighting the Muslims trumps all else.
Their is hope that the people will wake up. Most of all, what has truly concerned me in all of this ..”Where are the Christians”? Does Pat represent how people who claim to be Christians believe now?
As for dumbing down of America, this started with Progressives in the 1800s. They took the schools then and created the NEA. Instead of fighting, our tax dollars now continue the dumbing down of Americans.
But after saying all of this - My HOPE is knowing that GOD is Always in Control regardless of what we see.
Psalms 16:9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
Merry Christmas
Be Blessed!

LOL, so you think GWB is Reagan? One problem with that analogy, Reagan didn't generate a landslide for the democrat Dukekas in 1988, Bush Sr won on Reagan's coattails. McCain and congressional republicans lost on GWB coattails, he was the fucus of democrats campaigns, all while he cut deals with them.
Your new Reagan GWB poisoned two elections 2006+2008 after his own re-election, he killed off our popular republican governor in 2006, when the democrat failed Baltimore Mayor ran commercials of the two together, So I will never long for GWB, Obama/Pelosi IS his legacy. Everything they do is his legacy.
I’ll only look back GWB as opportunities squandered.
correct...to any Christian who’s trying to live the life!
saltnlemons
> Ill only look back GWB as opportunities squandered.
After eight years of His Excellency Barack Hussein Obama Dada, you might look back at GWB fondly for the damage that he DIDN’T do.
Time will tell. You are now ruled by a different Pharaoh.
> LOL, so you think GWB is Reagan?
No, I think GWB is GWB and that you might be singing a different tune about him once Obama is thru with the Presidency.
> One problem with that analogy, Reagan didn’t generate a landslide for the democrat Dukekas in 1988, Bush Sr won on Reagan’s coattails. McCain and congressional republicans lost on GWB coattails, he was the fucus of democrats campaigns, all while he cut deals with them.
That isn’t really how it happened, is it?
The actual truth of that is that nothing GWB could do would have pleased the MSM because GWB “stole” two elections that they had engineered for the Dems. GWB was never going to get anything other than bad press. The Dems could have nominated a sack of spuds and they still would have won by a landslide.
Coupled with that, when it came time to nominate his replacement, the Conservatives couldn’t get their act together and put a real conservative candidate forward to run for the GOP. It was embarrasing to watch! That had nothing to do with GWB and everything to do with a Conservative movement that couldn’t find its arse with both hands and a map.
> So I will never long for GWB, Obama/Pelosi IS his legacy. Everything they do is his legacy.
Time will tell. In eight years time, once Obama is thru with the US, you might see things differently.
RE :Time will tell. In eight years time, once Obama is thru with the US, you might see things differently
Reagan did NOT have a 20% approval rating when he left like GWB did and did not kill off any republican candidates chances like GWB did. No matter how bad Obama is and how much I hate democrats I will aways blame GWB. His re-election was a gift from , God, so was the republican congress he had for 5-6 years, and what did he use it for? To give us Pelosi and then Obama.
RE :”That had nothing to do with GWB and everything to do with a Conservative movement that couldnt find its arse with both hands and a map.”
Can you imagine GWB calling McCain in late September and telling him, I got really bad news John??? Remember a few months ago when I told you the fundamentals of the economy are strong as you repeated in that clip that Obama is using against you now? Well I am SO SORRY, I have to tell the people on national TV/cable address that we are on the brink of a great depression. I know this looks really bad for you John, but we can turn this around. You can take the credit for MY and Pelosis rescue package, if you do you will be a hero and win in a landslide. But if the bailout goes down, we all go down with the economy. Just Trust me one more time again John (until the UAW bailout) and we will be very careful how we use the money so it looks good for our party, Have I ever let you down?? OK i know but this time it will be different
