My brain has really been scrambled, as I've been thinking about the stories from three different novels: "The Time Machine", "Animal Farm", and "Atlas Shrugged".
Obviously, the plot from "The Time Machine" has dominated my attention, particularly after Rush's rebuttal to Colin Powell, where he coined the term "Washingtonians". It simply fits so perfectly.
With almost half of the population not paying a dime in federal income taxes, the comfort and well-being of those necessarily comes from the Washingtonians, the forbears of the Morlocks.

There’s no question that Bush is a profligate spender; but what has he done to tank capitalism? Wasteful spending doesn’t necessarily harm capitalism, and in most ways it encourages it (if someone is going to throw money around with wild abandon then a good capitalist would come up with a product that the wastrel will buy). The surest way to destroy capitalism is to pass laws against it, and I don’t recall Bush passing any such laws. Perhaps you have some examples?

Despite my disappointment with Dubya during his second term, I've never regretted my votes for him.
Palin made it easy for me to break my vow that I would never vote for McCain. Now that McCain has reverted to his true self, I'm relieved he won't be the next President.
McCain would've gone down in history as the first president with ADD. The man could never stay focused on one message, except for being a Maverick who fought against earmarks. That message went out the bleeping door when he signed off on that $750 billion bailout of Wall Street.

The Bush Clan has that nice little 100,000 acre ranch they bought in Paraquay a couple of years ago. I’ve decided I’m going to us the Bush family as my personal SHTF litmus test. If I hear they’re leaving for an extended stay in Paraquay I’ll know we’re toast.

Not in the mood tonight to argue about his (Bush’s) own words, in that, he blew it. He IS a Globalist and he is a strong proponent/tool for the NWO. Do a search on Bush quotes New World Order and you will see.

By his support of massive govenment bailouts of the financial, auto, and several other industries, Bush has carefully laid a solid foundation for nationalization and socialism under Obama. Laissez faire has been destroyed under Bush.
Extreme short sightedness isn't looking at things "as they are." Clinton's actions and rhetoric practically invited the Islamo-Nazis to attack us. And they repeatedly accepted the invitation during his term.
I'm trying to imagine eight years of Algore. A man who committed acts of treason on his own. Who assisted uncomplainingly even greater acts of treason by Slick Willie. Who is now peddling the most inane hoax ever perpetrated. A man who nearly destroyed the Constitution because his vanity wouldn't accept the legitimate result of an election.

First off, I opposed the bailouts, and for several reasons. Letting the auto companies go bankrupt would have been the preferable thing, in my opinion. But, the bailouts were in fact loans, and if the money is not paid back the government will seize the assets of the defaulting companies and sell them on the open market (which will likely be what happens). That is not destroying capitalism. Moreover, if the government takes over the companies and RUNS them, then you could make the argument that the government was tanking capitalism; but since Bush will be a private citizen by then and would have nothing to do with that decision he can’t be blamed for tanking capitalism.
Odumbo and the Dim Congress will tank capitalism, so blame them.
I am no Bush fan, but let’s not condemn the poor guy and blame him for everything bad that happens in life: That is the purview of the looney left.
Oh, what are the “several other industries” that Bush has supported bailing out?
