I'm done with John McCain

I normally don't stay up late enough to watch Late Night with David Letterman, but I happened to catch a little of it Thursday night, when Sen. John McCain was on. David Letterman make a rude joke about Gov. Sarah Palin, and John McCain laughed at it. That is when I realized I am done with John McCain.
. . . . .
If I were Rod Blago, I'd use some nice four-letter words to describe how I feel about Sen. McCain, but I'm not, so I won't.
. . . . .
I'm glad Sen. McCain didn't win the election. This way, I don't have to defend him anymore. If he were president, and he screwed up, or did something that was moderate, Republicans would have gotten the blame.
I'm washing my hands of Sen. McCain.
I'm tired of defending RINOs.
I'm not doing it anymore, and I know many in the Republican party are tired of it, too.

he was using her as eye candy and he wanted her to be a good girl to be cute, look at the camera, and repeat his talking points, when she did not do that, especially after he voted yes for that bailout, their relationship was DONE, and she turned on him Rank conjecture.

I can't speak for McCain (or anyone else but myself) but after McCain "suspended his campaign" and then voted for the bailout, that's when I bailed on him.
Had it not been for Palin, I might not have held my nose and voted Republican for President.
And after this experience, I will not do so again, consequences be damned.

I find it interesting that the Preacher Mike Huckabee doesn't even have a Christmas wreath on the door of his Little Rock mansion again this year.

Yes, the bailout fiasco was all teed up for McCain.
His course of action was inexplicable. It hurt him with conservatives. But I don't think it was determinative.

Not quite. McCain is still dangerous until 2010, or whenever he gets defeated for re-election.
Very much so. I am quite worried that he and Teddy and Obama will get their amnesty bill passed. With Teddy having his problems, I can see them using that to play emotional games to get others to support their amnesty bill.

>> and here is McCain, on Letterman, the same asshole who last night mocked Sarahs church being burned, and laughing about it.
Arson is nothing to laugh at especially when people are in jeopardy. Are you sure Letterman was laughing at the Wasilla church burning?
Palin Church Fire Sparks Debate - The Bulletin ^ | Tuesday, December 16, 2008 | Joe Murray Sarah Palins church was badly damaged by a fire the authorities are treating as an act of arson.
Palin's Church Severely Damaged by Arson - Washington Post ^ | December 14, 2008 | Associated PressDamage to the Wasilla Bible Church was estimated at $1 million, authorities said. No one was injured in the fire, which was set Friday night while a handful of people, including two children, were inside, according to James Steele, the Central Mat-Su fire chief.

Wow...a hit list. How cute. :-) McCain sucks... and he continues to suck. He'll quit sucking when he has no pulse and his body temp is the same as the cool air around him. He can't help himself. He's like my dead dog, who was a good dog, but still a leg humper and a vomit eater. They just can't help it.
The core GOP followers have abandoned the GOP. They've seen that they got lead by the nose into a lose/lose situation. The GOP killed off all the "worthy" candidates. Then McCain chose Gov. Palin, and we thought that this was at least some glimmer of hope. But all he did in the end was use her to get our vote, which didn't amount to enough. Then he permitted her to get trashed on her way back to AK.
I don't hold McCain in as much contempt as I do the GOP.
Jim Rob should do another massive purge here, otherwise he'll be left with a membership full of cedrics and other disolusioned and ill informed people. We're not there yet, but it's predictable if things keep moving that way.

Sarah Palin was the only bright spot in a very dark scene. Even so, the left and the MSM trashed her and McCain and his staff weren't much nicer. For this I hope they get a rash in a bad place that won't go away.
Sarah completely "carried" McCain in the elections. If she hadn't been on his ticket, I can assure you that hoards of us would have voted third party and McCain would have been decimated in the election. The left did actually accurately predict this. They simply can't accurately assimilate my types though, so they weren't entirely right. But if not for Palin, they would have been!
Looking back on it, I'm glad that Gov. Palin was involved. It permitted people like me to do what was right, even though the left is now in control. It's still important that we do what's right. But as for the GOP and their RINOs, there's an especially hot place in hell waiting for them unless they undergo some serious change.

Who was the "worthiest"?
My opinion doesn't matter, and the issue of who isn't the point.
The point is that far too many GOP supporters didn't realize what was going on when the GOP endorsed, and pushed RINOs to the top (such as Guiliani and McCain), and relegated the others to being ignored and unsupported. Nobody got suspicious enough to suspect anything, and those of us that did endured strong criticism for not being "team players".
Too many people here in this thread have already brought up too much information as to why McCain didn't belong on a conservative party ticket. If you want to believe that he should have been the man, then go right ahead. But from what I read, you and those with you are a dwindling minority here, as well as holding fast to some pretty serious falsehoods in spite of the facts.

My opinion doesn't matter Neither did your opinion matter when you opined that all the "worthy" candidates had been killed off by the GOP, but that didn't stop you from making your rash, relativistic judgment.
So, why are you now unwilling to name the candidate you think was most "worthy"?

you are so adamant that they (McCain's staff) were completely loyal to Governor Palin and could not possibly have badmouthed her behind her back to the press I never said, intimated or implied that.
Step up your game.

I am NO fan of Huckaphony but exactly what significance does a wreath hold vis a vis the birth of our Lord?

His refusal to endorse her for 2012, if she were to run, puts credibility to this statement.

We're all full with rash, relativistic judgment, yourself included. Get used to it. As for my choice of a candidate....I can assure you it wasn't your choice of a candidate, and it's a totally moot point now. So drop it. I can tell you that I did vote for Sarah Palin, and that supporting McCain was an unavoidable, and regrettable consequence. What is your point here other than sticking up for that turd who won't flush, John McCain?
