Just a guess, but Reid probably voted no as a parliamentary procedure. I believe Senate rules allow Senators who voted no to ask for revotes much easier than those who voted yes on a bill. McConnell and Lott would sometimes do that when the GOP had the majority.

Jeff Daniels has been pimping Michigan on AM radio for two years now, without realizing that nobody wants to shell out millions of dollars for a romp with a Detroit crack whore.

I’m sure this is very un-PC, but when the news stories were showing various auto workers at their jobs, most of it seemed like semi-skilled work at best. I can’t believe they are paid as much as they are to snap parts onto things, etc. I thought a robot could do most of it.

As usual, the dems place blame in the wrong place. The reason that the auto industry is in trouble is because they produced a noncompetitive product. People are still buying cars, but just not their cars. Until the auto industry improves, no amount of money is going to keep them in business. It is not the government's job to finance private industry.

Why doesn’t MI use its taxdollars to give them loans? Oh yeah, cause your state also miss-manages its money.

Hey lady (nice form), you are slapping the other 100 million plus taxpayers in the face demanding that we pay for the mistakes made in your state. Grow up.

Its OK, here in the northeast, the “carpeters union” includes guys who hang sheet rock and do cleaning, NOT carpentry.

He voted no so he could re-introduce it. If he voted yes, he couldn’t reintroduce if it failed.

That pig Granholm should go back to Canada rather than bring her Canadian socialism here.

No Jennifer, it’s not 3 million families. Its 300 000 workers

And they won’t be out of work, only working for a bit less

FYi, the 3 mil figure includes everyone who lives in the area who has any contact with any person who works for any company related to the auto industry...including the 7-Eleven on every corner and their families.

Lyin bitch...you disgust me.

Not to mention the 8 dems who could have supported it

Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm used pugilistic imagery Friday, reacting to Senate Republicans who failed to support a $14 billion bailout for U.S. automakers. "Republican senators have just delivered a fierce slap at three million workers across America," Granholm said in a statement...laughable - the 'rats control the Senate - they have the majority vote - the failure to pass the "bailout" is on their shoulders, not the Republicans' - let's hope one or two of those 'pubs have the gumption to point that out to Granholm and anyone else who might be interested......

50c tops. He’s probably better off cutting ads for Maine given what he did for their Joshua Chamberlain.

Hey Granholm... check the vote... what about the Democrats who also did not support the bailout??? Single out the Republicans all you want... they were not alone.

I suppose that I wouldn’t mind so much if maybe I could get a free 30k car for my trouble?

What do you think the possibilities of that are?

Senate Majority Leader Reid voted NAY. When did he become a Republican, Jenny?

The Majority leader always votes no when he's going to lose so he can bring it back up for a vote later. Frist used to do this all the time when he fell short of breaking Dem filibusters. The other 7 Dems should have been called out by that shrill woman though. They had enough votes with the additional 10 Republicans. They just wanted more cover. Chickenshiite bustards. Politics before their principles.

Capitalists were fat and proud and now it's time for the unwashed masses to stand up and take control of whatever is left of the carcass. 100% of crap = USSR. The left loves "CHANGE" until it smacks them in the face.

According to your table, the bailout passed, 52-35. So why is Jenny so pissed off at the Republican senators? I must be missing something here.
