Federal Sources: Fitzgerald Held Off Blagojevich Bust to Protect Obama Election Chances; Did Obama Fail Ethics Requirements of Illinois Bar?
A federal source of mine with ties to Chicago says that FBI agents had enough to prosecute corrupt, helmet-haired Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich back in June, when he was already engaged in some of the blackmail and extortion alleged by the FBI affidavit and other documents associated with his arrest and prosecution.
The source says that the FBI was suddenly ordered by the U.S. Attorney's Office--and I believe that order came from the top, ie., U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald and Justice Department officials in Washington--to hold off on doing anything until after the election, so as not to hurt Obama's White House bid. Here's what my inside source says.
I know for a fact FBI Chicago had enough to indict Blagojevich in June. They were 2 weeks from indictment in June based on cooperation and testimony at the Stu Levine trial. Levine was Tony Rezko's bud, fund raiser for Blago, and our President-Elect...http://www.debbieschlussel.com/

When you post something from "a friend" - that means nothing without a tape, a recording, a deposition, or pictures.
Someone said earlier this was worse than Watergate, I now thin that was an understatement.
The left will honor rather than trash Fitz, after all.
Well done, Fitz.
Fitzgerald ahs protected Obama from the Rezko trial and now he’s doing the same about the Blago business.
Just happy to read all this great stuff............
And it means..........what?
Same reason he pulled the chain on Blago before teh wiretaps inplicated Obama — typical democrat hack.
“Well done, Fitz.”
He’s played the libtart game all the way! Good man, fitz?
I think they probably were told by the WH to hold off, because it is obvious that Bush bent over backwards not to prejudice Bambi’s chance. I don’t think he especially wanted Bambi to be elected, but Bush is about the most self-sabotaging person we have ever had as president. It would be one thing if this affected only Bush, but what he never seems to have realized is that by abandoning his leadership position, he threw all the rest of us to the dogs.
It sure seems that this Fitzgerald person is NOT a friend of the TRUTH.
I’m shocked. Shocked!
My new parlor game: who will be appointed special prosecutor to investigate The Great Leader?
Seems to me that whoever this Debbie Schlussel is better be keeping a close watch on her back.
... Babbalouy, “Hey Quicksdraw, I now thin that was an understatement.” Quickdraw McGraw, “I’ll do the thinnin around here, Babbalouy!”...
i’m having a real problem with Schlussels’ article and her “sources”. She was doing very well with her campaign to reveal the fraud behind 0b0z0’s Selective Service application and documentation. The tone she’s set here with her unnamed sources smacks of tabloidism and newspapers that sell two headed dogs.
For the record, Fitzgerald was first nominated for US Attorney by a Republican Senator from Illinois and his appointment was backed by Republican Attorney General John Ashcroft and he was reappointed by President Bush.
Fitzgerald has prosecuted many Democrats of the Chicago Daley machine for corruption.
There is no indication that he is a Democrat.
