This scandal will be fun. The cesspool that is Chicago will provide a lot of entertainment in the next 4 years.

I have no doubt that Obama and Rahm knew what BLogo wanted and they were ok with that.

The Messiah will fall and be exposed for the dark angel he is.

Let’s see if Blagojevich is more loyal to the Democrat party machine or his own tail.

That 76-page complaint is a treasure of said and unsaid things. If you read it carefully all kinds of interesting questions pop up.

Didn’t Obama pull Jarrett’s name in a CYA move this week?

Gee, we elect the Chicago Machine to the Presidency ... what could possibly go wrong?

Mainstream Media = Epic Fail

to the detriment of us all. This was active electioneering, not simply poor reporting.

My money is on “advisor B” being Chicago’s very own Rahm Emanuel or someone directly reporting to him and then thus up to zerO himself

The DNC/Washingont establishment with its goals for a 60 seat democrat majority Senate, would not be oblivious to who would be the new democrat senator from Illinois

better because, according to Advisor B, from the president-elect’s perspective, there would be fewer ‘fingerprints’ on the president-elect’s involvement with Change to Win, because Change to Win already has an existing stream of revenue and, therefore, ‘you won’t have stories in four years that they bought you off.’”

Obama is in this so deep that he can barely keep his nose above water. I hope that justice prevails.

B has to be the evil Bush.

Bush’s fault.

Interesting. Before the scandal broke, Axelrod said Obama was in contact with Blago. Local news reported there would be, and subsequently reported that there was, a meeting between Obama and Blago discussing this. On the tapes, Blago is reportedly cursing Obama because his team offered only “appreciation” rather than cash for putting the Obama pick in the Senate.

Then the scandal breaks, and Obama said they never spoke - and all of the sudden Axelrod and the local news outlet retract their comments. (Any follow-up on why such an egregious error was made? What’s the explanation for the “false story” about a meeting being there in the first place? Who was involved in reporting the story? Has anyone asked them how they were so “mistaken?”)

So either (i) Obama never breathed a word to the Illinois governor about who he would want to be dealing with as one of a hundred members of a Senate teetering on the precipice of a filibuster-proof majority, Axelrod and the local news outlet (two very different actors in totally different positions with respect to the story and presumably relying on different sources) made the exact same mistake, and Blago was somehow delusional and hallucinated that he knew Obama’s preferred candidate for the job, or (ii) Obama made a false statement and Axelrod and the local media are covering for him.

Which is more likely?

I read online that Blagojevich's wife, a realtor, was the agent for messiah when he bought his home.

Anyone else heard or seen this??

For some reason I get the feeling that Obama was behind the sudden closing down of the Blagojevich investigation.

“I have no doubt that Obama and Rahm knew what BLogo wanted and they were ok with that.”

If so, why did Blago go ballistic that BO wasn’t playing ball?

Obama...”will undoubtedly be asked the broader question...?” By WHOM? Hell, no one in our first class, non-biased MSM even cares if the guy is constitutionally qualified to BE the president. Do you actually think any of them will ask about his role, or that of a hack lackey? Don’t hold your breath.

We may not know who “Advisor B” is, but you can bet from the transcripts that Advisor B knows that he is being referenced & is busily covering his tracks to other Washington players. One wonders why prosecutors go through this exercise when they are quite willing to charactarize the unknown individuals by job description & location. Why even go that far? Just redact the name.

"As I wrote yesterday, the complaint contains a three-week gap — a period in which prosecutors don’t discuss any conversations among the participants. Of that period, the complaint says, “Throughout the past month, ROD BLAGOJEVICH has continued to engage in numerous conversations relating to filling the open Senate seat,” but gives no details."

Stock up on popcorn. This thing has a long way to go...
