In the heading, it says he congratulated Obama and discusses the Senate seat. That information is all on one line. The announcement doesn’t say who the governor discussed the Senate seat with, but it is part of the phrase that says he congratulated Obama.

Who knows what the heck it means? I just think it’s interesting that on Nov. 5, this information appears on the governor’s website.

This article just says they’re to have a meeting that afternoon. It was written before the meeting was to take place so it’s no proof of the meeting. However there was another article on Nov 6 at the same website that did tell
about the meeting.

A handful of astute Freepers captured both articles.

Whether or not the meeting between O and Blago actually took place that day, it is inconceivable that the two have not discussed O's replacement.

To be fair, nothing in their meeting implies that O knew or approved of any pay-to-play scandal; that is pure Blago.

In the end, the only stink likely to be stuck to O will be that he is from Chicago and indeed is familiar with the political cesspool that is Chicago. O knows how this game is played. He had to deal with Blago and Daley.

O is not in the game for money, as is the case with Blago. O truly wants change. O is not a cheap union goon. O wants to create the USSA.
