Well then, Mitt’s loss was not due to evangelicals.
That’s a start.

if you want to continue to live under every increasing socialism and tyranny, just go ahead an keep supporting the GOP. The GOP made a strategic decision long ago to abandon limited government and is now just democrat-lite. The in trenched interests in the status quo is beyond repair. Even if republicans win, they will serve big government and special interests...just a little less than the democrats.
Don;t blame me or third parties...if you are a conservative then take personal responsibility..look in the mirror to see why the GOP fails.
To: Arizona Carolyn
If you want the democrats to rule forever like they currently do in Illinois, then keep talking third parties.... because that is what you will get... if you dont like the GOP then work to change it to what is more palitable; dont pick up your sticks and go home...
Sarah Palin, Rudy Giuliani, John McCain, etc., are not going to change their minds on amnesty. McCain is the biggest supporter of amnesty in the Senate next to Teddy Kennedy, and when Palin was making her pro-amnesty comments, it was pretty clear that she believed them and that she had no clue what the illegal alien situation is like. Here in Texas, we just had a young woman kidnapped and held for ransom by illegal aliens. That kind of crap isn't exactly going on in Alaska. Palin definitely won't take back her comments because the GOP is so damn sensitive about offending certain groups.
Amnesty will destroy this country and forever stop Republicans from ever winning Congress or the White House again, since it will be adding millions of Democratic voters. It's rewarding criminal behavior and if the GOP runs pro-amnesty candidates like McCain and Palin, the GOP deserves to lose.

Palin had to speak the McCain party line, but whatever, I guess you didn’t get the memo, Ted Kennedy just quit the committee he was running to pass immigration, he said he cannot do both and is more interested in ruining our medical system so he has given up on immigration.... also... our economy sucks and the Mexicans are going back to Mexico in droves...
To: SerafinQ
Well then I hope you enjoy life under Maxist rule, because that is what you will have now... and you third partiers will keep it that way for a long, long time.

I’m not doing it again. I’ve only come away disgusted with myself since making that vote. The lesser of two evils is still evil.

"I really believe it was by design to lose to the rats.A willing guy(PUTZ) in mcnutts." The McCain Campaign of 2008 was the result of the MSM campaing of 2000-2007. Any person who does not believe the MSM deliberately workd their butts off for seven years to get McCain at the top of the GP ticket is an idiot.

So you are saying she was pro-amnesty because it benefited her politically?
To: af_vet_rr
No I am saying a Vice President candidate has to follow the candidate’s platform... and I also said this has quickly become a non-issue as Mexican’s are leaving in droves.

The good news is that Tancredo may be considering a run for gov here in Colorado. Not sure he can win, but will be proud to vote for him. Ritter is a definite 1 termer and I think we can the state back (at least at the gov level)

I guess the whole thing about her being another maverick was a charade then, if she's going to toe the line on whatever she's told to do. That raises the question though - has she made any anti-amnesty comments prior to this election?

Well, they are leaving our part of Arizona, for that I am eternally grateful... but then we have passed a lot of propositions here that has made this state very illegal unfriendly, when the legislature doesn’t do the job then it is up to the citizens to do it, you could follow this example in Texas... and so far all out propositions have been upheld, including mandatory employer verification which the Chamber fought tooth and nail.
To: Arizona Carolyn
you could follow this example in Texas.
Unfortunately, we can't. Our wonderful Republican governor actually wants to make it easier on them and give them a huge transportation system to boot. His idea of increased border security is webcams.

You get the cookie for * The day McCain suspended his campaign, I posted on FR threads that I thought is was nothing more than a stunt move and it would be detrimental, rather than helpful to his campaign....a lot of us had a glimmer of hope that McCain still had a spine after picking Gov Palin, we had the far fetched HOPE that McCain had a spark of Conservative principle, alas our HOPE was dashed on the rocks of reality. McCain is what we expected, another political whore!
