Worth repeating:
“Sarah Palin is absolutely the real deal,” [Wurzelbacher] said.

McCain looked erratic and compulsive when he up and sputtered about how he was “suspending his campaign” to go back to Washington and fix the “problem”. Then “suspended” his campaign for all of what - 24 hours? Fits and starts and was left looking erratic and compulsive; then voting “yea” to something NO ONE agreed with. The while thing has made the whole bunch look like the gang that couldn’t shoot straight. Except for Obama, who actually went and broke up the whole shooting match at the White House, then voted and left unscathed, looking like the Ice Man, while McCain left looking like he had egg on his face. McCain could have won with Sarah if he hadn’t allowed the likes of “Katie” and “Charlie” to butcher and disrespectfully treat her to juvenile pop quizzes. Unlike Obama, who they asked things like “Comfy, Senator Obama?” Totally irresponsible.

While Wurzelbacher was critical of McCain during the interview, he had nothing but praise for his running mate, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Sarah Palin is absolutely the real deal, he said.Yep, gotta agree with Joe on this one... ;-)

The only way McCain got the nomination is by the open primaries that all non-Republicans to choose the Republican nominee.

Bravo Sierra. McCain's service was honorable, but that does not by itself make him honorable. I served with a number of scoundrels in Vietnam who were pretty damned good soldiers.
Point taken. I still thank him for his service, but he just didn't fight well in the election, some say he didn't want to win while others say he wanted to campaign as "Mr. Nice Guy." I do say he wasn't the best we can put into play more like a "consensus candidate." Well, as the saying goes, "a camel is a horse designed by a consensus." I'd like to have seen Fred Thompson or perhaps Romney but we ended up with McCain and had no choice but to play that hand.

Did you say you are Chuck the auto parts guy?
Yeah, I deliver them for a living. Not too bad of a job, very busy, people are keeping their old jalopies instead of buying new cars. Even my mother saw in the news, people are repairing their old cars and other things in lieu of newer cars and things. I wish I could score overtime, we are very busy but overtime is a "no-no" right now.

If you let the same five to ten states pick the nominee next time, you'll have another McCain. we need a national primary day. The opening states pick losers, even when they win.
Agreed. BTW, about Iowa and New Hampshire, who died and left them to be the political gods?

When I was on the bus with him, I asked him a lot of questions about the bailout because most Americans did not want that to happen When McCain flew back to DC to vote for the bailout, this was absolutely, without a doubt, the moment McCain lost the election.
He had golden opportunity to prove his 'maverick' status and he blew it.
