An Obama aide, speaking on the condition of anonymity, took back David Axelrod's remark last month that Barack Obama and Rod Blagojevich had spoken recently.
"What the president-elect said today is correct, David Axelrod misspoke," the aide said.
Obama said today the men had not spoken.
An open question: When they last spoke.

Speaking of the good reverend, I heard a tape of him, back to preachin’ last Sunday, say, today is December 7, the anniversary of the day America murdered 40,000 innocent Japanese by dropping the atomic bomb.

Don't get me wrong. I believe that BHO spoke to the Gov. I just don't believe the FBI has it on tape. After adjusting my tin-foil hat I came to this conclusion. The FBI realized that red flags were starting to point toward Zer0 and they wanted to "stop the tape" before his voice made an entrance. That's why the sudden arrest.

I figure the last tape had either Barry or Rahm on it and they erased it and said, “Ok, wrap it up, we’re done here” and this is what Rush was insinuating today - “We’ll keep it going for years to nail Rove or Libby after we knew who the leaker was”, but they cut this one short for ‘containment’ in the “middle of a crime spree” by the Dems.
This is the same Axelrod who has been the backbone of the Obama campaign since *before* it began, who knows ALL the ins and outs of the junior ex-senator/community organizer from Illinois, who has been the brains behind the campaign and speaks for Obama the way Edgar Bergen spoke for Charlie McCarthy—this is the same Axelrod?
