His mother was not old enough to transfer her own citizenship to him, so Denofrio suggests that he would not be a “natural born” citizen even if he was born in Hawaii.
Which I don’t necessarily agree with.
I don’t believe his Mom had to be a certain age to transfer citizenship. She was an American. By this standard, millions of Americans would not be citizens. If Obama was born in this country, he is a natural born citizen.
