Why didn't Obama mention that General Shinseki was *born* in Hawaii?

Why dont we just see how this plays out.I give FR the benefit of the doubt because of the bush/national guard issue. You should maybe do the same.As for “that one” being my president NOT A CHANCE IN HELL!If you cant see that this guy is so anti American you are as blind as all get out.You have been here longer than I yet I dont understand your willingness to throw your lot in with this guy.

Even if Obama is ineligible, this isn’t what I would call firm. Someone who WAS born in Hawaii could easily use the phrase “I grew up in Hawaii” instead of “I was born in Hawaii”. Particularly if both are true.

river rat:

I have to disagree with you. Check out this post from Politico: Liberals Voice Concerns About Obama. What I predicted yesterday is already happening.

I am not an appeaser. I will never support Obama on anything that goes against conservative principles. When he does something right though, I will publicly support him on it. Not only because it's the right thing to do -- it also irritates the heck out of Democrat nutroots every time we point out that Obama has broken a liberal campaign promise.

We know that if Al Gore had won in 2000 and gone to war in Iraq with the exact same results, the leftists would be slavering over what a great job Gore has done. The only reason they are against the war on terror is because it was Bush's idea.

I don't want us to sink into Obama Derangement Syndrome where we criticize everything that he does, regardless of whether it was the right thing to do. Criticize him when he does something wrong. Praise him when he does something right and take joy in knowing that you're irritating liberals and lessening his chance for re-election.

If the Republicans get their act together and liberals are disappointed with Obama in 2010, we can take back congress and send Pelosi and Reid packing.

I don't doubt for a moment, that Hitler had SOME redeeming attributes and accomplished some good.. For instance, he loved dogs and built a wonderful highway system.
However - in the totality of the man, he was a despicable monster..

So far, I see Obama in the same way..
There is more than enough we know about the man and his duplicity that I wouldn't complement him for ANYTHING....

I simply expect two things from Obama at this point:
1. Prove he is a natural born citizen of the United States.
2. Honor his oath to defend the Constitution and the Republic against ALL enemies both foreign and domestic...

Then - I'll consider thinking of him as something other than a unaccomplished, inexperienced, overreaching black racist and Socialist of unknown religious focus or birthright....

I for one - will hold my applause..
