With the circumstances of Obama’s birth and subsequent living in Indonesia, I can see the problem - an agree he isn’t qualified. However, John McCain was born to two full American citizens that were on foreign soil in the service of the U.S. Navy. I see no potential “loyalty conflicts” there. Isn’t this the purpose behind the “natural born” requirement? No divided or questionably loyalties??

Yes. There is evidence that McCain was born in Colon,Panama and therefore at birth was a native born citizen of Panama. He is a naturalized citizen of the US, but was not a “natural born” citizen at birth. I believe that is why McCain and the RNC were silent about the questions of Obama’s past all during the campaign. Maybe McCain thought he would win and all would be fine. But it didn't work out that way after all.

Right now, I do not care who is President, but whomever it is they must meet Constitutional requirements to hold the Office of Commander In Chief! Our Constitution must be upheld!

You write: “There is evidence that McCain was born in Colon,Panama and therefore at birth was a native born citizen of Panama. He is a naturalized citizen of the US, but was not a “natural born” citizen at birth.”

You are simply WRONG about this. McCain was never naturalized. He did not EVER apply for US Citizenship and swear an oath to recieve it.

He was, most certainly a CITIZEN AT BIRTH.

As for “natural born” I claim that makes him such. Donofrio and his supporters claim a variety of additional tests must be applied such as “born on American soil” “neither parent citizen of another country” “father a born American” etc. But, they are essentially making all these claims up out of whole cloth.

McCain is a citizen by statute - not naturalization.
