You (and the fellow with the website you link) have latched onto a definition of natural born that isn’t defined in law anywhere.
You have asserted THREE types of citizenship: birth citizenship, natural birth citizenship, and naturalized citizenship.
This is over complicated and has no basis in law that I am aware of.
The “natural born” citizenship test is easy to understand: were you a citizen at birth? If yes, you are a natural born citizen! If not you were NOT a citizen (natural born, or any other type). If you are a citizen NOW you, therefore were naturalized.
Everyone in America fits into one of these two categories (if they are here legally).
McCain fits into the FIRST category. He as a citizen at birth. His married parents were citizens, his father was serving in the Navy. The place of his birth makes no difference whatsoever. He could have been born in Mecca and he would still have been an American from birth.
IE: Natural Born.
There are not two classes of citizens, some more equal than others at birth.
That is my take based on extensive research on this.
The real issue with Obama is not that he’s not a “natural born” citizen, it is that he is NOT A CITIZEN at all. If he did not gain his citizenship at birth, due to the nature of the law at that time, then he never got citzenship AT ALL. (Unless he has hidden his naturalization papers, which I doubt.)
He not only can not be President, if this is true, he can not be a Senator, and can not legally live in the USA.
I knew a girl who was in exactly this position. Her dad had her in the Navy with his Phillipino girlfriend. The married and moved here when she was a few months old. At the time she was admitted on her dads passport. At age 20 she discovered that she wasn’t a citizen. (Same law that is getting Barry!). She applied and was naturalized.
Sorry, a naturalized citizen is not a “natural born” citizen as pertains to President. I have not listed three types of citizenship. There is citizen and natural born citizen. A citizen can be naturalized as in becoming a citizen after being born outside of US soil to citizen parents...or becoming a citizen after moving here from another country. A “natural born” citizen is born of two citizen parents and born on US soil. The parents don’t need to be “natural born” themselves, just citizens.
There is so much discussion about the “natural born” status as it pertains to President and Vice President. Senators do not have to be “natural born” but must be citizens for nine years. House members do not have to be “natural born” but must be citizens for seven years. Citizens may be a Governor, House or Senate member, but only “natural born” citizens may hold the Office of President.
We will soon know what our US Supreme Court Justices decide.
Are you saying a naturalized citizen may be President of the USA?
Here you go then, FRiend:
