Vanity: Pakistan-Sanctioned Terrorists Killed Americans; Shouldn't US Prohibit Paki's from US Entry?
AmericanInTokyo (vanity) | 6 December 2008 | AmericanInTokyo

Posted on 12/05/2008 3:01:49 AM PST by AmericanInTokyo

Tonight (Friday a.m. US time) Pakistan gave its official answer to India on the request to turn over to India ASAP Islamic terrorists based on Pakistan soil and operating out in the open. Our friend and good ally India has ramped up the pressure and now banned the entry of Pakistani nationals into it's country by land, sea or air.

The massive terrorist attack in Mumbai had a strong element of not only India being targeted, but the United States as well. Our fellow Americans were sought out, and some were killed.

All intelligence points to Pakistan as the base for these terrorists. Even the leader of one Pakistan based terrorist affiliated group is granting open interviews in Lahore, thumbing his nose at India.

Due to this situation of a foreign country countenancing terrorists on its soil, who have in the last week entered India and KILLED AMERICANS,

Should not the Bush Administration through its Department of Homeland Security/US Immigration and Citizenship Services, immediately issue a directive to forbid any holder of a Pakistani passport from entering the United States??

This isn’t a problem with strictly Pakistani nationals. The much broader problem is Islam.

Oh, certainly agreed. Starting with taking action on Pakistan would be a good start.Or does not the US government care about the lives of Americans overseas?

Any effective plan has to involve a multi front attack, not isolated to a one nation at a time approach. Otherwise we will be continually chasing terrorists all over the globe.

I am not saying the denial of entry of Pakistani from US territory ASAP is the sole thing to do to wipe this out, not in a million years.

Please don't ruin the thread.

I am trying to get something specific, easy-to-do (DHS decree) and immediate done here; US officials read FR over their morning coffee in D.C. Please get behind my idea. Thanks.

Ruining the thread? That's certainly not my intention. We're on the same basic page but simply differ on the details. You've been around long enough to know it's an open forum. Differing viewpoints are typically part of FR. I'm simply adding to your strategy. Don't take it personally.

“India is looking into the possibility that one of the planners of last week’s deadly terrorist attacks in Mumbai has been in police custody for months.

They say the suspect - an Indian national named Faheem Ansari - was also carrying sketches of other sites in Mumbai, including the stock exchange. “

Officials Say Possible Mumbai Attack Planner Arrested Months Ago

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2143313/posts

Since one of the planners is an Indian national, do you think I should start a thread screaming “India-Sanctioned Terrorists Killed Americans; Shouldn’t US Prohibit Indians from US Entry?”

And continue “Should not the Bush Administration through its Department of Homeland Security/US Immigration and Citizenship Services, immediately issue a directive to forbid any holder of an Indian passport from entering the United States??”

Pakistani government no more “sanctioned” the terrorist attack as the India government.

Your vanity and incorrect title and statements are highly inflammatory.

Do you want to see a nuclear war errupt between Pakistan and India and somehow get the US involved as well? That is exactly what the terrorists want and your inflammatory vanity just throws gasoline on the fire.

If you had any sense, you would ask the Admin Moderator to pull your post.

More evidence that your personal, misguided view does NOT correspond to reality:

Mumbai terror attack: Pakistan gives Condoleezza Rice pledge of strong action

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asia/article5286985.ece

“Condoleezza Rice, the US Secretary of State, met Pakistani government and army leaders today and secured a pledge that they would take strong action against anyone involved in last week’s attack on Mumbai.”

Pakistan will not hand over LeT founder to India: Front organisation

5 Dec 2008, 1648 hrs IST, PTI (Times of India)

ISLAMABAD: The front organisation created by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Mohammed Saeed has said the Pakistan government is not "so weak" that it will accept India's demand for the handing over of the 'jehadi' leader and ideologue in the wake of the Mumbai terror strikes. The Jamaat-ud-Dawah also claimed that it was not linked to terrorist activities in any way. The Pakistan government is "not yet so weak that it would hand over its own citizens to India", Jamaat spokesman Abdullah Muntazir told reporters at the organisation's 75-acre complex in Muridke, 30 kms from Lahore, while replying to a question on the status of Hafiz Saeed. Spokesmen and officials of the Jamaat have made public comments and interactions with the media in the wake of speculative reports in the media here that India was planning to strike the organisation's headquarters in the wake of the Mumbai terror attacks. Hafiz Saeed's name is included in a list of 20 criminals and terrorists whose handing over India has demanded from Pakistan after the Mumbai attacks. Yahya Mujahid, the chief spokesman of the Jamaat, said though the group offered "philosophical" support to militants in Jammu and Kashmir, it had condemned the Mumbai attacks and claimed that neither the Jamaat nor the LeT was involved in the incident. Indian and US security officials have linked the LeT to the attacks, believed to have been planned in Pakistan and carried out by Pakistan-based elements.

Retired Pak officials trained Mumbai attackers: US intel 5 Dec 2008, 0046 hrs IST, Jane Perlez & Somini Sengupta, NYT News Service Print Email Discuss Share Save Comment Text: Times of India LAHORE: Mounting evidence of links between the Mumbai terrorist attacks and a Pakistani militant group is posing the stiffest test so far of Pakistan's new government, raising questions whether it can-- or wants to--rein in militancy here. Though officially banned, Lashkar-e-Toiba has hidden in plain sight for years. It has had a long history of ties to Pakistani intelligence agencies. The evidence of its hand in the Mumbai attacks is accumulating from around the globe: A former Defense Department official in Washington, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that American intelligence analysts suspect that former officers of Pakistan's powerful spy agency and its army helped train the Mumbai attackers. And according to a western official familiar with the investigation in Mumbai, another Lashkar leader, Yusuf Muzammil, whom the surviving gunman named as the plot's organizer, fielded phone calls in Lahore from the attackers.

sundar,Gaborone, says:Nothing is going to happen in Pakistan as well as in India. India has got weak-knee policy and it will never dare to attack due to our Politician blame game. Pakistan will sing the same old tune, no Pakistani is involved in the attack. USA will fillup its coffers by selling more arms. We all Indians will forget this after a week and for us business as usual. God Save India. Jai Hind. (Dear Editor: Pl preserve this msg and read after 6 months. My words will come 100% true).

Rahul,Pune, says:Why dont these ministers understand that US comes in between because we are there biggest customers for arms havent we seen them how they acted when Japan attacked on PEARL HARBOUR and then WHEN THEY SUFFERED THE BLOW OF TWIN TOWER...why are these ministers waiting for compromise from some Human bugger from US why do they dont take there own decision and if they cant then go home...tell respected Manmohan Singh that be a sardar...or atleast be a leader

ashish, mumbai, says:I don think personally that us will force to pak for baned militant group. a very simple region is that us give load to pak if they come against will be harm full for us. US play diplomacy between india-pak to get his benefit only.

narayana, muscat, says:no lion ever asks another lion or tiger whether it can kill and eat its prey. India is wrong in expecting global acceptance. No body gives power. Power is always taken. If Manmohan singh is impotent, let him give way to another guy who will vanquish islaimc terrorism from the whole world

A Dass,Singapore, says:There comes a time when the talking has to cease. India has to go it alone. The problem is that there is no leadership. I for one believe that something will be done, but not for the right reasons. Why cant the parties give us someone charismatic to lead the country like Ratan Tata ?? These collection of specimens should be cremated.
[5 Dec, 2008 1527hrs IST]

Alien,Overseas, says:I want any politician to ask Ms. Rice, that if the same outfit had commited such acts on the US territory, would they have simply sat back asked the country to ban the political front of the organisation? NO. They would declare Pakistan a Terrorist nation and attack with the support of its cohorts UK and Australia. So why not us. LeT is mocking India’s potency time and again by conveniently hiding behind a nuclear armed Pakistan. I am saying let us have it once and for all. Any war will cause more strain on Pakistan than us. BUt then we don’t know if our nuclear weapons are battle ready or not. China has certainly provided them with working ICBMs and the Pakistanis would have atleast 10 battle ready nuclear bombs. It is time to crush the enemy once and for all.

Now, the flip side, on your suggestion, is that our efforts in Afghanistan depend on ports in and trucking through Pakistan. We certainly don’t fly everything in.
