The Hawaiian officials stated that Obama’s birth certificate is on record in Hawaii. Obama has a sister, Maya who was born in Indonesia also has a Hawaiian COLB which is also certainly ‘on record’ in Hawaii. It is a meaningless statement, which brings up the question as to why it was even made.
For crap sakes. Where have you been? Nevermind, just another newbie troll.
birth announcement is not legal for proving you are a natural born american citizen!
Who else knows the real story ?
Granny probably did but she recently died.
Real story is why Obama’s people are spending so much $$ on lawyers fighting all these suits.
He’s surely hiding something.
All it says is that he was born. Did anyone think he hatched?
I announced my grandson’s birth last month in my local papaer as my daughter grew up here. He, however, was born hundreds of miles from here.
Has been around for months and months. I believe we all accept the fact that Obama was born.
Doesn’t say where.
By the way, does anybody have evidence that there was such a thing as “Mr. and Mrs. Barack H. Obama?”
The wedding had no witnesses, not even her parents, and no record of the event has yet been found. The only evidence that suggests a February, 1961 date for the wedding was a document included in Ann Dunham’s 1964 divorce proceedings against Obama Senior.
Obama, himself, hints that his father and mothers wedding may not have been properly documented. “How and when the marriage occurred remains a bit murky, a bill of particulars that I have never quite had the courage to explore,” Obama writes in his memoir.
Michelle obama was quoted as saying Obama’s mother was “very young and very single when she had him.”
There is no evidence anywhere that Senior and Anna ever lived together anywhere, at any time. The living arrangements between the announcement of the wedding and the birth of the child were uncertain. Most likely, Obama Senior remained in his dorm room while Ann lived with her parents.
But, then again, there is no Obama documentation, beyond that in his books, and even Obama admits they are part myth.
Wouldn’t really make much difference... when my kiddos were born, I posted a birth announcement in 3 different cities. My hometown, the town I was currently living in and the town my parents were residing in at the time.
Rip Van Winkle took a power nap by comparison.
Anyway, I've got work to do for my day job -- which comes first, second, third, and on to the ntih degree -- so I'm out of pocket until Tuesday, and even for posting this little bon mot, I'm gonna get bitch-slapped for it.
Never fear, FReepers, for I've got a trusted counterpart on here who keeps her ear to the ground, her eye on the ball, and her feet ready to deliver a roundhouse kick to anyone who fails to get this memo, so please keep that in my if you are just dying to ping or PM me...because you'll wonder why I'm not responding, and get all upset, and we would not want that to happen.
BUT, just in case the brain-dead media should twitch so much as an eyelid in response to the biggest national news issue since Paul Revere went for a pony ride, talk amongst yourselves, and I'm sure I'll hear about it, one way or another.
One final thing, re: my contest. Ya gotta search only on those three little words, OBAMA BIRTH CERTIFICATE, because I know my blog is indexed by GURGLE.
Have a good weekend, Chow for now.
Of, and as for why he doesn't just release an original birth certificate, and put an end to all this nonsense (not that would)? There is an old saying in politics:
Never interrupt your opponent while he is making a mistake.
The birth controversy is not just useless, it is counter productive. It wastes times, money and effort on a cause that not only will not prosper, but will only make consevatives look like spoiled children, unwilling to accept the electoral a$$kicking we were handed last month. The left, with the MSM on its side, can get away with a lot of that, we cannot.
But in the Holiday spirit, I would like to give those Freepers trying to flog life into this dead horse a couple of ideas about other avenues to pursue.
1. Is BO a Human??? Maybe he is a cyborg. Maybe he is of non-terran origin. Have you seen the DNA tests showing him to be a human? Has anyone? Why won't he release samples of his DNA to independent labs?
2. Fourteen years a resident of the United States??? The Constitution requires that the President have been a resident of the United States for the past fourteen years. But BO has, for the past four years, been living in no state at all, but in the District of Columbia. And before that? Texas has people who think that, because of some paper work foul up in the Annexation in 1846, Texas is not a State, but still an independent republic. What of Illinois? Maybe there was some paper work foul up with the Treaty of Pairs in 1763, and Illinois is still a French Colony. Has anyone looked into that?
Are either of these issue meritorious? No. But they aren't much worse than the birth in Kenya, or Canada, or wherever argument. And at least they make for a change of pace.
And no, I won't respond to any comments from birthers, except with a quote from Thomas Paine:
It is as useless to argue with those who have abandoned the use of reason as it is to administer medicine to the dead.
Get it out of your system folks, and lets gear up for 2010.

That was the first time and place I saw it, and so did Factcheck as they posted a direct link to TD's blog in their "Born in the U.S.A." article of August 21.
I can tell you, unequivocally, that the close-up shown was not made from the full page image. It is way too clean and missing artifacts that should be prominently shown: right there, that is a big, red flag.
If you enlarge the Obama announcement, you will see a telltale artifact running across the top of it that looks like it was part of another ad that was not totally cropped off, but got left in. The artifact appears to be part of a fold line running horizontally across the entire image (the missing 2nd fold line? LOL!).
Searching across the entire image turned up no other similar artifacts.
Ive got an image of the Star Bulletin with the same listings of birth announcements, but no date is shown to identify when the Bulletin posted them. Logic dictates that they got them from the same source as did the Advertiser, which would be Vital Statistics, but my gut says that the Star Bulletin simply copied them the Advertiser.
It is not a big deal, really, except that, like the bogus COLB images, one single image spawned a bunch of copies.
SPEAKING OF COPIES, I revisited Snopes.com. The had to have come late to the party given where is their head. Now, you know that I researched everything I could get my hands on, and I never heard anything about Snopes when I was investigating the bogus copies posted on the Daily Kos, Fight The Smears (FTS), Factcheck, and Politifact. In their article, they claim that it is a response to emails collected from June 2008, except they have freely copied info from FactCheck's "Born in the USA" article that appeared on August 21. "June 2008, my asterisk!" BUT, and here's where it gets interesting. The copy of Obama's bogus COLB that SNOPES.COM has posted on their website is the ORIGINAL image BarackObama.com displayed on June 12 that 1000 x 1024 pixel image I originally saw on June 12, which was summarily pulled the following day and replaced with one half its size and disproportional (585 x 575) when Fight The Smears officially was launched. In other words, confirmation of what I claimed back on June 20. OK, now back to the birth announcement. In addition to the artifact above the Obama birth announcement, the m in "Obama" has a distinctive gap on the top of the upper left arch of the m that appears in no other lower case m on the entire page. That gap is totally missing on the close-up, along with all of the JPG artifacts that are hard to ignore on the full-page image. In other words, somebody cleaned up and enhanced the close-up image, raising even more questions as to its authenticity. I would love to contact the other parents on the list of announcements to know what are their children's CERTIFICATE NUMBER, and if they ever met Stanley or Obama Sr. at the hospital where their child was born. Bottom line: that artifact above the Obama birth announcement is highly suspicious, especisally when it does not appear on close-ups.
