'Natural-born' requirement called 'stupidest provision'
Also 'discriminates, outdated, undemocratic and assumes birthplace a proxy for loyalty'

An associate lawyer in a Chicago-based firm whose partner served on a finance committee for then-Sen. Barack Obama has advocated for the elimination of the U.S. Constitution's requirement that a president be a "natural-born" citizen, calling the requirement "stupid" and asserting it discriminates, is outdated and undemocratic.
The paper was written in 2006 by Sarah Herlihy, just two years after Obama had won a landslide election in Illinois to the U.S. Senate. Herlihy is listed as an associate at the Chicago firm of Kirkland & Ellis. A partner in the same firm, Bruce I. Ettelson, cites his membership on the finance committees for both Obama and Sen. Richard Durbin on the corporate website.

You know if you get it through Congress and then get 2/3’s of the states to pass it it could possibly be changed in about a decade. Whether you think it is stupid or not isn’t the point the point it it is in the constitution and the law of the law now!
They have known this for a long time. Ahhnold does not have a bunch of supporters in Chicago.
She threw that in as a strawman.
That law firm raised money for Obama.
Exactly and let us not forget democrats like to change the rules in the middle of the game.

Those rules were made before we knew about 0bama, so therefore they are not applicable.

Let them have their shot. It takes 38 state legislatures voting "yes" to amend the Constitution.
Never gonna happen.
It takes 3/4 of the state legislatures for final approval. 38 states.
You couldn't get 38 state legislatures to agree on the sum of 2+2.
When Hillary had her meeting with him, she showed her proof.
That is why she and all her people are being appointed.
She gave him a list.
I want Sarah Herlihy to stand in the middle of Arlington Cemetary, surrounded by men and women that were wounded defending the Constitution of the United States and tell them what they sacrificed for is not worth a damn.
The Left continues to spit on veterans!
Of course it is. That is to stupid people. I see they are starting in with the bs already.
He was taught/groomed for this, with Ares and that other Arab guy (the one it is thought pad. for his education) and Soro’s. I am not given to conspiracy theories, but in this case, with all the cover ups, neglect of the media as well as government officials, coupled with his associations and history, family history, etc, I can see no other explanation. The only questions in my mind is WHY this was allowed to occur, and WHO is enabling this fraud? By Who, I mean ALL who are.
The forced retirement made sure anyone who had been around long enough to object were gone.
Read Hillary's professors books and you see this has been in the works for a long long time.
I hereby nominate, in no particular order, the Sixteenth and Seventeeth Amendments as the stupidest provisions in the Constitution. (Though Ms. Herlihy’s inanity provides a sore temptation to add the Ninteenth to the list.)
The left is a hedonistic lot!
‘Natural-born’ requirement called ‘stupidest provision’
I agree. 200 years ago it made sense, now it should be upgraded to requiring their parents and all four grandparents to be natural born citizens as well.
Obama is found to not be a naturalized citizen
The courts will be willing to change the Constitution to accommodate.
The democrats fishing for more votes for the next elections will give amnesty to anybody who wants to become A US CITEZEN
AN UNFRIENDLY foreign power will take advantage of the amnesty and apply so that they can prop up a foreigner as the president of the US
The new citizens from abroad elect a foreigner to the US presidency
Through executive orders FROM THE NEW FORIGHN PRESIDENT the terrorists will take over the US
Our f-18s will be parked in their hangers the whole time.
Wait isn't this happening now?
You first
Yes, I realize they deconstruct to reconstruct. That’s just a refined way of saying, they prefer to make it up as they go along.
