Down here on the coast, the poll workers said the turnout had been much, much higher than expected.

Went to see Sarah yesterday, with a friend who is Saxby’s local liaison. She said Saxby has received the message loud and clear, and will, if re-elected, return to D.C. a much better listener, and therefore, a stronger conservative.

We said to tell him, to use the opportunity to become a true leader, of TRUE conservatism.

Fingers crossed.

It’s amazing to me that Chambliss needed a runoff against a mostly unknown liberal Dem! If the Dems had run a better candidate, even Max Cleland again, they might have won without a runoff.
