It’s amazing to me that Chambliss needed a runoff against a mostly unknown liberal Dem! If the Dems had run a better candidate, even Max Cleland again, they might have won without a runoff.

a mainstream Democrat would have blown Coleman away in MN. Instead, the Dims threw us a lifeline by nominating Franken... and Martin in GA
